Oakfur stared straight ahead as the two cats talked to him. They don't scare me!He thought then looking at them decided that they did, but just a little bit. Besides," he figured I won't eat anything this time around, but maybe wait a bit and once I've been on a few patrols I'll eat. Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Oakfur smiled. Walking over to Shiff and Slight he bowed his head. "Permission to speak?" he asked figuring to play on the safe side.

Dante put Dovepaw down, keeping his paw firmly on her neck, trying to make sure she didn't wake.
"Shall we stop for a rest?" he asked Hawkfang.
Suddenly, Dovepaw began to wake up, so he knocked her out again. He was not really one to torture, but he liked to do his duty.

Brookheart cuddled her kits closely, swiping her rough pink tounge over their heads reassuringly. "Mommy," Freedomkit squeaked lightly.
"Yes, dear?" The mother asked, her vice supportive and soft.
"What's gunna happen?"
Brookheart assumed the kit was talking about her health. The she-cat had been coughing lately, and her chest hurt a lot. Did that mean Greencough?
"Nothing," she said. "Everything's gunna be alright, dear." Freedomkit nodded and cuddled into her mother's warmth. Brookheart sighed and laid her head on her paws. Everthing was going to be alright...She hoped.

Streamkit listened to the converstion gravely. Her Mommy wasn't going to get ill, was she?
That would be horrible! she thought, already despairing over the all the things she'd lose if her Mommy got ill, or even - oh, the horror! - went to StarClan: Late-night cuddles, advice whenever she needed it, loving whenever she needed it....
Streamkit glanced around the den nervously. Not all the queens liked her. What if she had to go to one of the queens who didn't like her as a foster mother, and then they tortured her, or something? It could happen! A few highly ranked she-cats, formerly from BloodClan, had joined the Clan, and Streamkit still had her suspicions, even though the rest of the Clan appeared to be fine with them.

Heartpound trudged along the steep hill exhaustedly, her tail dragging through the dirt and rocky rubble. Man, was it hot! She felt so hot and sticky! The tabby sighed, her ears going backwards. I hate the heat, she thought. It's just so...Hot! she smirked lightly. But I think I'm closer to Hawkfang and Dante. Their scent is fresher from what I can tell. She weaved around a huge rock, stepping in the shade of it and hesitating. It felt good. "A quick rest wouldn't hurt," she sai to herself. "And I'm starting to recognise my surroundings. This is close to the broder," she laughed out loud. Was she really that lonely that she was talking to herslef?

Heartpound smiled exhaustedly as she entered the Bloodclan territory. "Finally!" She snarled in complaint as she relished the shade of the trees. "That took forever." She added with a mutter. After walking for a good five minutes, the she-cat entered the Camp with a waving tail. Brambleheart raced over, his whiskers twitching with amusement. "What took so long?" He teased. Heartpound smirked at her old friend. "I had to cover up our scent trails. Are Hawkfang and Dante here yet?" Brambleheart shrugged. "I dunno. I just came back from a long nap on the sunrocks." Heartpound nodded. "Yeah, they must've been slowed down by the precious bundles. We got two slaves." The two cats wandered off to the fresh-kill pile.

"I hope we get back soon...," Hawkfang muttered. He lugged Robinpaw along, exhaustedly almost stumbling over a rock, in his daze. "When will we be done?" Suddenly, he noticed another BloodClan scent marker, another... and then another. His eyes lit up. "We're almost home!" he announced, suddenly feeling re-energized.
