Darkpaw wrinkled his nose as her paw hit him. "She said she was joining him!" Darkpaw spat. "He threatened your kits too. Or do you care?"

"Featherkit!" Frostkit meowed running away form Mosskit who almost had pounced on her. "Hi!" Mosskit said from his sprawled position on the ground. Jaggedkit looked up and then went back to sharpening his claws.

SoulFire shook her head. " She was going to join him. But I know IcePaw better that you think. And She wouldn't do such a thing. Unless she felt uneasy. You know she's half-clan. And it's hard enough right now." she said calmly. " I DO care about my kits! And I WILL protect them at ANY cost." she spat at him. " I understand how your feeling DarkPaw. I do. But don't you think if you were living IcePaw's life it would be hard to choose right from wrong? I mean TigerFrost is a rogue, but he killed her parents and her only brother that she looked up to. It would be hard wouldn't it?" she added in a more gentle tone.

FeatherKit smiled. " Hi! she squeaked. NightKit walked over to JaggedKit. " Hi..." he said shyly. NightKit truly admired JaggedKit.

Jaggedkit looked up boredly. "Hi"
(omg its like a chain jaggedkit admires darkpaw and now nightkit admires jaggedkit!)

"If I was worth anything," Darkpaw gave a dark glare at Icepaw, "and that piece of foxdung touched my family, I'd slice him in half before I looked at him." He spat.

"were playing sneak pounce!" Frostkit squeaked back. "Wanna play?" Mosskit asked standing up and trotting over.

SoulFire leaned close to DarkPaw's ear. " IcePaw needs a friend to help her though it. And If you are willing to put up with her, you could be that friend." she said smiling. " Yes. I understand your hate for TigerFrost. But try not to think about it. Once day TigerFrost will get bored of this place and hopefully head back to the alleyways. Where he was originally from." she said grinning. IcePaw sharpened her claws then she licked her fur clean, trying to ignore SoulFire's words. She really needed a friend.

FeatherKit smiled. " Sure!" she squeaked. NightKit nodded. " What are you sharpening your claws for?" he asked.

Darkpaw narrowed his eyes and said nothing. His fur was still bristled and his calws were still out. But his eyes were thoughtful.

"So that when I become a warrior I can kill a cat without have to unsheathe my claws." Jaggedkit said looking down at his claws proudly.

"Awesome!" purred Frostkit. "You just have to sneak up behind one of us and pounce on our tails!" "And we'll be doing the same!" added Mosskit.

FeatherKit smiled. " ok!" she said. FeatherKit crouched low to the ground and she was stalking slowly towards MossKit's tail. NightKit nodded. " I see" he said.

IcePaw stayed silent. " ok, Lets get a move on. I wan't to find a place to sleep before Nightfall comes around." she said standing up and walking off. SoulFire rose slowly and stiffly to her paws and she followed IcePaw.

Darkpaw took a step and faltered. He straightened up quickly before anyone looked back. He glanced back at his shoulder which was still bleeding. He had forgotten about his cut. He could feel it now though. He flicked his ear refusing to wince, as he took another step forward only placing half his weight on it. 'This is just what I needed right before a long journey.' He thought limping after his clanmates.

Frostkit saw what she was doing and distracted Mosskit by waving his tail in his face.

IcePaw looked at the clearing through the trees the smiled as she saw what looked like an abandoned badgers set. " Badger set!" she said smiling. She sniffed the air. "but the scent is stale.". SoulFire walked to the den and she looked in it, she sniffed the air. " defiantly stale" she said.

FeatherKit got in range and she pounced on MossKit's tail.

Darkpaw rolled his eyes. "Wow an empty badger set. Your lucky it wasn't in there or it would've bitten your heads off." He meowed impatiantly as he limped passed them.

Jaggedkit smiled. "Ya. I'm going to be the second best warrior in the clan."

Mosskit jumped his fur fluffing out. "Ahh!"

IcePaw glared at him. " Why don't you go stick your head in one with a badger next time!" she yowled. IcePaw walked over to the set. SoulFire looked at them, her eyes blazing with anger. She sighed and walked into the Set. " You to are worse than my own kits! I mean you both are apprentices! Keep on arguing like this and there might now be a Clan to live in if we get back!" she snapped. She curled up in a corner and fell asleep.

FeatherKit smiled. " I did it!" She said. Featherkit laughed.

NightKit smiled. " one day I want to be just like you!" he said.

Darkpaw's fur rose but he said nothing. He walked passed Icepaw without acknowledging her. He didn't care what Soulfire said. Icepaw was a traitor and just because she had a sad sack story didn't change anything. Plopping down into a different corner he rythmeically began licking his shoulder would which had stopped bleeding. He tried to get off all the dried blood but it hurt when he touched it and it finally made him dizzy. He laid his head on his paws, his body aching and eyes tired. He waited for sleep to come.

Frostkit laughed. "Nice job Featherkit!" Mosskit's eyes sparkled misheiveslouly. "I'll get you for that one!"

Jaggedkit smirked. "You can try."
