SunClan's Story [New Thread]

Mintsplash's neck fur started to ruffle up. She quickly glanced around to see that Robinchaser had already vanished. The she-cat flattened her ears and whisked iff into the tall grass, opening her mouth to find Eaglestar and her clanmates. She hadn't been this frightened for moons! How could this have- her thoughts were interuppted by the sight of little Stonekit, trying to find his way through. "Stonekit!" Mintsplash cries. She finds herself scrambling towards the kit and grabbing his scruff. The monster was getting closer. The she-cat started to panic, and the world started to spin. She couldn't taste the air to find Robinchaser, so she started sniffing the air with her nose, desperate for the slightest whiff of scent from Eaglestar. Mintsplash glanced behind her, careful not to frighten Stonekit in her jaws, hoing that the monster was far away. The roaring was growing fainter and fainter, and she was glad about that. She turned her head forwards again, and instinctively dropped the kit as she bashed her head into a large tree. She fell onto the ground, unaware of what happened, but caught the slightest scent from Pebblerun and Eaglestar just on the other side of the tree as she weakly smiled and the world went black.

(She's not dead, just unconscious from the impact.)

"Spiderpaw!" he gasped, drawing the cat close. He was just glad the apprentice was safe. A rare purr rumbled and rasped in his throat. "I'm just glad my apprentice is safe." he whispered, voice shaking just as much as he was. He didn't notice the marigold Spiderpaw has spat at his feet. No one had ever seen the medicince cat act this way, but he didn't really care right now either.

"You may." Appleleaf mewed. "Tell me why you've followed us here. I've seen you around our old home. Lurking in shadows, hiding beneath bushes. I must say, it's a bit queer." Appleleaf mewed, carefully selecting her words.

Duskpaw didn't now what was best to do, so seeing his helper go to her duties as the clear leader he did himself a favor to move a bit away from the clan tree to another nearby. He thought it might be safe as well, but he father stay by his own then be surrounded by pairs of eyes that looked at him with each a color of their soul. He couldn't stand it, so he move away to climb onto another tree with his claws sinking deep into the bark while he climbed up. Once he found a branch able to hold his weight he layed on it with his body bleeding into its shadows while from above he watched the events happening below.

Grey smiled, but it was emotionless. Empty. "You do not know me, but I know you. I've watched over the clans for 90 moons. I not known very well around here, save through some silly rumors. However, you may call me Grey." He said, bowing his head. He set the kit down and then stepped on her tail as she attempted to bolt. "And where do you think your going, Sorrel?" He said, raising an eyebrow at her.

Sorrelkit harrumphed, sitting down and staring at her paws as she kneaded the dirt. "It's not that scary... I want to see it again... It was so shiny." She said, glancing up at Eaglestar from the corner of her eye. She had a pitiful look on her face. That quickly turned to a pout as Grey laughed deeply at her words. "You have a fierce little tiger here Eaglestar. I would keep an eye on her." He said, smiling at her. She glared back, sticking a fang out at him. Turning back to where she heard the car, she felt that familiar pang of longing. She had been so close... So close to discovering what that strange smell had been.

Eaglestar stared at him and Sorrelkit; the two seemed to know each other. She was distracted by a thud from the tree. "One moment," said Eaglestar, turning away from the rogue. She looked around the side of the tree, seeing a dazed looking Stonekit and an unconscious Mintsplash, who had apparently run right into the tree. In an entire grassland...Eaglestar was torn between amusement and concern. "Alright, we've found Stonekit." she called. "Could someone go find the ones out looking for him?" she spotted Shiverwhisker and his apprentice. "Mintsplash hit her head," she told them. "Could you help her?" She turned back to the rogue, and was confused to see an unfamiliar white cat as well. Looking around, she spotted a small brown kit with large green eyes who she'd never seen before. And then there was that black cat she'd spotted earlier; where had he gotten off to? Was she going insane? She closed her eyes, then opened them; the outsiders still stood among her clan as if they belonged there. Though the kit looked a little nervous.

Sephora watched for a moment longer, forming an answer before meowing
"It was my home as much as yours, mine was just out of the boarders. I didn't hide often, only when certain cats came by. I avoided the more violent ones, of coarse."
She stopped a moment longer...
"Why did I follow you? Well, I certainty wasn't going to live my life with burnt corpses in a ruined forest. Seeing that once is plenty enough. I just decided to follow your path instead of making my own, after all, this is where starclan leads you, is it not? Shouldn't I trust your ancestors judgement? Or are you cats randomly traveling with no direction?"
She tilted her head, the final question was almost sincere, she had assumed they traveled by what they call a sign, from whom they call starclan. But perhaps that wasn't the case. Maybe they were just wandering, in hopes that they were headed the right way.

Songpaw laied under a bush, keeping herself hiden, watching to see what was going on, I wish there was something I could do. if only I wasn't so scared. she said to herself.

He looked up at Eaglestar, "I'll take a look at her." he meowed, all other emotions suddenly pushed down. He beckoned his tail for Spiderpaw to follow. It was a shame all the wet moss and poppy seeds had to be left back at the now-destroied make-shift camp. He sat next to the unconcous Mintsplash. He gave her a good sniff over and soon had a report. "She'll be awake soon, but I need some poppy seeds and wet moss." he meowed, almost orderingly. He flicked his tail once and was done with his report of her.

She looked down for a brief moment. "The forest... is a touchy subject for myself." She appologised. "From what Eaglestar has told us, there is another forrest on the other side of this reched field. If it'll serve us well as a new home, I do not know." Applelead looked towards the horrizon. "But why follow? Why not join. Now would be a better time than any for a lone cat to weasel their way into the heart of our clan. To have some one to tend their wounds, an almost constant food supply and protection." Appleleaf looked at the cat questionally. "I'm Appleleaf, by the way."
