(@Animals, Cas hasn't confirmed how long it's been since Cream gave birth, but considering that she's already said Honey's litter has opened their eyes, and Honey and Cream conceived on the same day, I think it's safe to assume that if Honey's kits are old enough to have opened their eyes then so are Cream's. Just common sense if you ask me. And it's perfectly fine if you want to stick by the books, but just respect that some people deviate from them a bit because the books themselves don't always use common sense and tend to be unrealistic/inaccurate when it comes to things like genetics and appearances. In any case, I don't particularly care either way what color their eyes are when they first open them, I was simply providing an alternate discussion for Sunflare and Creamflower to have, since both kits have already opened their eyes. ^^ So no worries really.)
Sunflare nodded. "I think you're right." He pricked his ears when he saw movement at the entrance of the den and turned to see Cedartail. "Oh, hi, Cedertail. Sure, I can." Of course he didn't want to leave his mate's side, but he hadn't been patrolling as much since Creamflower had given birth and he knew it was only fair that he go now. "I'll see you later," he purred to the queen, licking her ear and flicking the kits with his tail before following Cedartail out of the den. "Who else is going with us?" he asked the tom.
Dustkit closed her eyes when yet another cat entered the den. She wished everyone would just go away, and when she shut her eyes hard enough, they seemed to. At least, she didn't see them anymore, and she still felt the warmth of her brother and mother, so it worked out well enough for her.
"Sure," Riverstripe replied to the deputy. But he had barely turned around when he came face-to-face with Tinybird, and took a step back in surprise. "Ah--Yes, you're going on patrol with me, Blizzardclaw, and Bearpaw. Let me just go fetch her now." Brushing past the warrior, he went to the apprentices' den and peered inside, but was surprised to find that the deputy's apprentice was no where to be seen. That's odd. Backing back out, he returned to Blizzardclaw with a slight look of concern in his eyes. "She's not in her den," he reported.
"What, this stuff?" Unable to resist, Splashfeather scooped up a pawful of snow and flung it into Jackdawpaw's face, suppressing a purr of amusement as it gave the night-black tom a slight white mask.
Tigerblaze shot Splashfeather a disapproving look. "You're not a kit anymore, Splashfeather, or an apprentice for that matter. You're a warrior, so start acting like it." With that, he followed Elmshade out, tail flicking from side to side behind him. Splashfeather followed silently behind, her tail drooping slightly, clearly dejected after being scolded.

"Thank you, Russetswirl," Southstar murmured to the older tom before casting a glance at Streamspot, who had quickly fallen asleep. Unsure what else to do, he padded quietly over to her and curled around her, if for nothing more than to keep her warm.
Littleflower nodded eagerly. "That sounds good!" But as she padded alongside her denmates, she couldn't help but notice that Mistflower looked a bit...tense. And was that a hint of disappointment in her eyes? She couldn't tell. "Everything okay, Mistflower?" she asked her friendly gently.
For a moment, Darkpaw was about to follow Deertail, feeling that he had no choice. But almost against his will, he remained rooted to the ground, as if frozen there. His paws felt cold and numb, but something else was beginning to as well. "Actually," he began matter-of-factly, "I was the one who chose to go with her, not the other way around. But..." He paused, as if considering what his mentor was saying. "You have a point. What do you say, Goldenrose? Want to go hunting first?" He looked at the she-cat expectantly.
Outside the Clan
It took several moments, but finally Thunder began to calm under the soothing licks of his mother and started nursing as well, if a bit aggressively.
