☞CROWPAW smiled warmly as his greeting was returned by Graymist. A vigorous nod shook his head as she spoke of the task ahead of them, eager to prove himself tenfold. "I'm more than ready, and I'm sure Wolfpaw is too. I reckon the pair of us will be able to find more prey than you." he boldly stated the friendly banter, murky green eyes twinkling with mirth. "I plan on hunting a rabbit myself." he added, puffing out his dark tabby chest. Those were big words, and he hoped he wouldn't have to eat them later on. The big apprentice fell respectfully quiet as his leader and mentor began to speak, knowing that which ever direction she opted to go they'd be able to muster something up. As she finished speaking, Crowpaw bounded forward to catch up to Swiftstar, wanting to remain close to her as he knew the pair would be hunting together most likely.

☞ASPENCLOUD wanted to keep an eye on Silverpaw as he fell in step beside the young she-cat. The deputy had noticed her obvious excitement at the beginning of the situation, but it was obvious her sentiments had quickly shifted as his amber eyes caught sight of her prickling pelt and the scent of her fear touched his tongue. The slender black tom opted not to mention this fact to the apprentice as he knew she needed all of the support she could get on her first true protective detail. "What can you smell Silverpaw?" he pressed, wanting to help the she-cat relax while also focusing on her training. The group kept a steady pace, quickly gaining on the badger as its acrid taste practically choked the air.

☞BIRCHPAW stood back, allowing her mentor the satisfaction of the kill as she had been the one to first detect the creature. The apprentice watched on with clear admiration as Silvermist made quick work of the mouse. The young she-cat was proud to call the older warrior her mentor, and hoped to be half as good as she was once her warrior ceremony rolled around. "Nice kill. Perhaps that's all we needed to get the gears grinding." she congratulated her companion. Birchpaw fell silent again, not wanting to alert anymore potential prey of their presence as any and all food was of necessity now. Shaking out the snow that had collected on her thick pelt, the pale cat slipped back towards the undergrowth, her fur blending with her surroundings as she realized the smartest prey would seek shelter and food at the base of the trees where the least snow had collected. The slender apprentice crept soundlessly forward, her underbelly running along the layer of free snow that had accumulated the night before. Jaws parted, she managed to pick up the faint scent of a jay.

The little kit scurried outside to the fresh-kill, she sniffed our a little mouse that she ate. Thinking of her dream she thought about leaving camp to go to ShadowClan to find her father. She looked around at the cats in the camp and sighed.
I'll stay a little longer she thought.

Chestnutfur nodded her head in agreement, "This badger will have more than words to remeber me by." she groweled. Startled when Silverpaw appeared, she didn't really know why Aspencloud had sayed yes to the she-cat, while she probably wouldn't have.

Smallpaw quickly padded away before she could say anything, like a thank you , or something of that sort. He stopped at the exit and prepared for the chilling wind as it blew against his pelt. He took one paw step and shivered as he felt the cold snow on his paw. He saw Treekit by the fresh kill pile and went over to her. "Isn't it time they make you an apprentice?" He meowed flicking his ear. Just starting a light conversation.

"Oh yea! I'm going to be 7 moons in a few sunrises!" She puffed up her chest so she looked strong. "I'm going to be a big strong warrior!" She mewed. If I'm still here.. She thought. "So how are you doing?" She asked with a smile on her face.

The kit looked down at her paws. "Eh.. I'm doing well" She mewed hiding the guilt. She looked back up to Smallpaw "Do you know where Swiftstar is? I need to tell her something..."

Smallpaw tilted his head, "Yeah, she is in a patrol." He then shook his stubby tail and then looked over at the Fresh Kill Pile and noticed it was rather short than usual. Looks like prey is needed. He thought then returned his gaze at Treekit.

"Oh" She said sadly "well bye then!" she said as she ran off back into the Nursery suspicously. Her fur was bristled up and she was suprised nobody noticed. "What could this mean? If this is a message from StarClan.. I want another sign.."
She searched all day looking for signs from StarClan, but she found none. She kept glancing over to Smallpaw who seemed to be watching suspicously..

smallpaw watched her run off. He couldn't help but feel like something was troubling her. He took a minute thinking before shrugging and getting up and getting a fairly small mouse from the fresh kill pile and settled down, taking a small bite out the mouse thinking.
