"Really? That doesn't good at all." Dawnflower meowed sympathetically. "And no one tries to help them? In RootClan we try to do the best we can to heal our sick or injured cats in any way we can." She meowed. Dawnflower had heard of other groups of cats where there wasn't any medicine cats around, but it was still very saddening to hear about such places where cats die in pain because no one was around to help.

"That settles it then!" Mudstar exclaimed. Purring in delight at the young kit, it wasn't everyday that a kit joined that Clan but it was refreshing for a change. "Looks like we'll have to introduce you to the Clan then, follow me - both of you." She meowed to both Smokey and Weaselnose, leading the way towards the oak tree.

He wanted to ask her why she wanted to hide from everyone. But Smallstorm could tell that Twoface didn't seem to want to talk about it. Or maybe she did want to talk and he's completely reading her emotions wrong? That seemed to be a problem that Smallstorm had often with cats. After a long pause Smallstorm decided to speak up again, "Well, I won't ask unless you'd like me to. I'll let you be and have you do whatever you want."
