Bramblestorm trotted out of camp, her pelt slick from a fresh grooming. The feline had decided to go hunting, something she enjoyed to do at night. Dusk was falling upon the Clan, this being a good time. As she made her way to the river, Bramblestorm scented a dreadful smell. Racing towards the distance, her dark eyes fell upon the lifeless body of Cloudfrost. Turning on her paws, the she-cat let out a loud wail to the Clan. "Cloudfrost! Cloudfrost is dead!"

Poppykit lay in the cold nest, eyes dull and fur ungroomed. She heard Bramblestorm's calls and winced, ears going flat. She was starting to understand the seriousness of the situatiob.
