I shook my head. "Graypaw, we need to save it for the cats who are actually sick." I sighed unhappily. "The best thing we can do is come up with a way to dispose of the old bedding. That will prevent more cats from getting it."

He sighed. "Fine." Graypaw listened to what Sparkpaw had to say. He shrugged. "I have no idea how without getting sick... maybe the sick cats could do it?" he suggested.

"No. They need to rest." I took a breath. "I'll do it. I'm exposed to it all the time anyway. But the question is what to do with it."

Spidereyes put his chin down. He laid quietly. (Some new herb should cure them)

He didn't think that was a very good idea but he nodded anyway. It was always best not to argue with Sparkpaw. "Hmm... Maybe you could throw it outside the border?" he suggested. "Wait, that's not a very good idea... the prey would carry it with them..."

She finished the catmint and looked at Spidereyes. "It'll be all right, trust me." she purred.

"No. We can't throw it in the water, that would contaminate our water sources. If only we could control fire, we could burn it... but we might end up burning down the forest, even if we could start one. We could bury it." I sighed in frustration.

I tensed. "Graypaw, I don't want to expose you to blackcough." I whispered. I frowned; this was why medicine cats couldn't have mates.

Graypaw glared at her. "Really? You don't?" he asked sarcastically. "You're exposing me to it right now. You yourself said that you might get it." Graypaw pointed out to Sparkpaw with a hint of annoyance.
