"No!" I hurried after him. "Graypaw, I didn't mean it like that, I swear!" I felt like the world was a whirlwind of emotions.

Greypaw shook his head. "No, Sparkpaw. We are through. You got what you wanted... Now go on and do your medicine cat duties..." he meowed sadly.

I stared at him, trying not to cry. "I was trying to protect you!" I hissed. "Do you have any idea what it would do to me if you got blackcough? I could be carrying it right now! I might be about to die, but I don't want that to happen to you."

[storm coming.]

Greypaw
Greypaw looked at her with a small spark of hope. "You were? Why didn't you tell me earlier, Sparkpaw?" he asked. Tears of happiness filled his eyes. Sparkpaw still loved him!

I gave a slight, bordering on hysterical, laugh. "Why do you think? For one, I've been so busy, and for another... I was worried that you would freak out if you thought I might be sick."

Graypaw
Graypaw realized there was a possibility of Sparkpaw being sick. "Oh no! Are you sick? Is that why you're telling me this? Are you dying?" he asked with concern.

"No! Well... not yet." I rolled my eyes inwardly. I was not helping the situation.

(I considered having her get the sickness, but I didn't want her to die. Y'know, cause you said they'd probably all die.)

{actually not all of them are dying. Wolfpaw, Flarepaw, and Spidereyes aren't.}

He gasped. "Sparkpaw! Whatever you do you need to be careful!" he warned. Graypaw really didn't want Sparkpaw to get sick. He went inside the medicine cat den and pulled out some cat mint. "Here, eat this." Graypaw pushed the herb toward Sparkpaw.
