Cheetahpaw nodded. "Yep. There are a couple mice over there and i think i smell a couple geckos, pikas, and other random prey." she mewed. She had been right noone had hunted here in a while.

Vipertail smiled. "Good. Now, I want you to pinpoint the scent of a pika and catch one." She suspected it would be hard to locate and pinpoint just one scent amongst all the others.

Cheetahpaw nodded. She sat down trying to focus on pinpointing the scent. She closed her eyes and pictured the cute pika. After the picture formed she brought it's scent to the front of her mind. Opening her eyes she stood up keeping her head slighlty tilted towards the sky as she followed the scent. She stopped when the pikas scent mixed with a mouse's. She stepped forward when she figured out the path of the pika and crouched low. Her form perfected after the long hours of training. She shot forward into a small bush. Her teeth sunk into warm flesh and she could feel the life of the pika end. Backing out of the bush she brought the dead pika to Vipertail.

OOC: It is a lagomorph, a member of the rabbit family. Basically a rabbit with shorter ears. XD

Vipertail nodded approvingly. "Now, go out an catch as much as you can in a minute. Ready... Set... GO!"

Cheetahpaw smiled and took off. She slowed quickly crouching low she stalked up on a scent. Shooting forward she bit deep into the neck of a snake. She didn't care for snake herself but it did have meat. She quickly dug a hole and placed the body into it. Turning she stalked off padding quietly through the sand. She pounced and bit quickly making sure each kill was precise. A couple lucky pikas got away but she didnt care. When the minute was up she had a snake, a mouse, and another pika. Grabbing them she padded back to Vipertail. She was proud of her catch it was the most she had ever caught in one minute. It is actually pretty good for only 60 seconds. She placed them infront of the "older" she-cat and looked proudly back and forth.

Vipertail said "Wonderful! Once a leader is established, I'll tell them to make you a warrior!" How strange must this look, thought Vipertail, a supposed kit teaching an apprentice!

ooc: three pieces in the minute a snake a pika and a mouse. So all together there were four.

Cheetahpaw smiled. "Thanks so much Vipertail!" she mewed her ears drooping a little. "It is weird having her gone isn't it?" she asked thinking of her great aunt and former leader.
