Do the sun and stars have...
Bailey let out a low growl as the other canine drew closer. His lips pulled back, just enough to reveal his teeth, once the male was close. His growl faltered for a moment, as he heard a strange sound come from the male before him. His ears twitched before he cocked his head in confusion. The smaller dog had never heard such a sound before, let alone from such a large dog. The odd noise came again, once more from the large black and grey male. That was when Bailey figured out what the sound was supposed to be. The other canid was trying to snarl at him. With a snort, the golden dog glared at the creature before him.
"What do you want?" He growled shortly. His voice was harsh, his tone irritable. Bailey hated the idea that the male thought he could be pushed from this kill, just because he was smaller. His pale eyes glittered with his anger as he held his place by the kill.

Who out there holds the key to...
Pebble struggled to get back onto her paws, wanting to ensure that the bear was gone for good. Another gasp, this one stifled in her determination, slid past her gritted teeth as the wound stretched with her muscles. After what felt like an eternity, the silver female stood up, her fur still bristled and her body tense in case she had to fight. "I told you to go. It's not safe for you to be taking on a bear alone." She spoke quickly, searching for the bear.
That's when she saw the others. Three more dogs fighting against the larger bear. While their attacks weren't as coordinated as the wolves of her pack, they still managed to take the bear down. Once the attention was no longer on it, the black bear rose to its paws before lumbering off as quickly as it could. The she-wolf knew that while it would be hurting for a little bit, the large beast would be fine. It had a thick hide and so it would recover soon. Probably a lot quicker than I will, she thought with an outward sigh. She could feel her pulse throbbing near the wound, dripping more blood from the wound. The scarlet would stain her pale coat for a little while, especially as she moved around and stretched the injured leg.
Her thoughts were interrupted when one of the dogs spoke. Ears pricked, Pebble looked at the dog who'd spoken before she glanced at the other canines. She'd never seen the smaller canines before and their differences intrigued her. Her dark brown eyes stared in wonder as she continued to watch the others, the gold within them glistening in the scattered rays of sunlight that broke through the canopy. However she remained silent toward the other female's question. One rule she remembered clearly from her life growing up in the pack was to never show weakness, especially if you didn't know who your allies or enemies were.
