Maplefall sighed softly to herself, before getting up and grabbing something from the fresh kill pile. She sat off by herself in a shaded corner, not wanting to be in the way or bother anyone.

Blazingash perked right up, giving the other tom a big bright smile. "Oh! Where are my manners! My name is Blazingash." He mewed as he got to his paws, making his way over to Ray. "It's a place I found just a bit north. There's these stinky plants that block all other sents. But if you slip past them there's a small den you'll be safe in!" He purred happily.

Pixie slowly unbent her spine as the she cat in front of her backed up slightly and she started to lowered her hackles a bit when she heard the soft voice of the white cat in front of her. Her ears pricked slightly as the cat introduced herself as Moonshadow. Pixie's thoughts whirled as she battled between curiosity and wariness. She had almost decided to answer when another cat appeared and crouched to her level. Her hackles went straight back up and she spat in surprise. She instantly felt a little bad for that as the tom started speaking in such a gentle voice. She wasn't sure why, but he made he feel at ease, even more than the white she cat, Moonshadow. She took a deep breath and tried to make her hackles lie flat. They wouldn't. She glanced from the Oriolegaze to Moonshadow. These cats had mentioned a Ravenclan, what was that? Maybe thats what they called their housefolk's den? Weird name. "I'm Pixie. I got lost and I want to go home." She whispered.

Shadowclaw shifted back and pressed himself into the side of the entrance to the nursery as Risingshine exited with the kits following. He followed them to a small distance from the nursery, then set the shrew down. He stiffled a mrrrrow as he listened to Sunshinekit's serious tone as she mentioned the shrew. "Yes, the pile is very low, but there are hunting patrols out so that will soon be remedied. And as this shrew is very stale, it will make good hunting practice without wasting good prey." He then glanced at Waterfallkit, "I'm glad it sounds fun. It is an essential skill to learn, and when it's fun, it's often easier to learn." Shadowclaw glanced around the camp then settled on a bare patch of earth by the apprentices' den. He waved his tail towards it "Let's go over there to practice. It is quiet and out of the way." He picked up the shrew and looked back to make sure the kits were following before he started making his way towards the spot he had chosen.

MoonShadow offered a small smile as she noticed the kit begin to relax. Now MoonShadow wasn't the best with kits, she was never really around them. She didn't dislike the fact of considering having her own one day, but it wasn't at the top of her list. She wanted to Be someone first. Besides, she had OceanPaw to help look after. And that apprentice was a handful. Moonshadow turned her attention as she heard pawsteps. She nodded as the Deputy, Orlieogaze had approached and began speaking with the kit. She had to commend the tom for thinking of the idea of dropping to the level of the kit. It was a smart idea and probably helped reassured her.

And almost like magic, the kit was speaking with Orlieogaze. MoonShadow couldn't help but smile once again as the kit - Pixie. introduced herself. MoonShadow flicked her tail with a slight nod of her head "Well it is a pleasure to meet you Pixie" she said quietly before asking "we can help you go home , do you remember what it looks like?" she asked. Part of her wondered if it was another clan , or worse - the humans.

OceanPaw returned to the group after burying the mouse , she silently fell back into the group and hoped no one had noticed her absence. This is where she felt she differed from other apprentices. While some -- most others would want the praise. OceanPaw didn't - she knew her father would never let her hear the end of it. She would just wait until the patrol was heading back, quickly uncover the mouse and then stay behind them as they returned. Sneaking it onto the prey pile would be the biggest challenge.

NightFrost nodded as LightningStar motioned for the patrol to head out. He dipped his head and followed the patrol towards the forest. He kept his head low as the walked, taking in the surroundings. He scented the air as they walked , he could pick up scents of prey - but thankfully not anything else. The black tom flicked his tail slowly. The soft conversations of his clan-mates kept him focused as he tuned them out with the noises of the forest. He wasn't one to eavesdrop , besides he could care less. Hearing LightningStar mention foxes previously in the area, he nodded "Understood" he confirmed before turning his attention back to the large forest. He could hear the apprentices speaking and he shook his head in displeasure. But, he kept his mouth shut, he would speak with StormPaw when they returned about comments like that - especially after the leader had been the one to ask them to keep an eye out.

She looked at the younger warrior for a long time, trying to figure out if he had something on his mind or if he just wanted her gone "yes that's my plan for the start..." she meowed silently, like trying to look for words. She looked around "As Foxpaw is busy helping the medicine cat I could go to see if the fresh-kill pile needs any fulfilling" she meowed "see you later Sootfur..." she meowed to him.

She picked some herbs too and carried them to the pile they were needed to bring. She lightly rolled her eyes at the tom words and listened to the rest he needed to say "all free to drool on them, but I would warn you that their taste on your mouth will be even worse than what they're now" she meowed to her with a laugh. She took a mouthful of bad herbs and followed the orange tabby tom to the dirt place. After dropping the herbs she took a quick lick to her chest before looking back at the tom "Yeah me too, eating fresh prey in the mornings is one of the best moments of the whole day" she meowed to him, starting to move toward the fresh-kill pile. She smiled at the toms bouncing for a moment, her tail flicking as she walked, thinking if they were supposed to ask someone grown up to accompany them, she was four moons older than an apprentice and Foxpaw was an apprentice "do you think your mentor could be available to join us? I think my mentor didn't want us to go together out there" she meowed.

She gave a look at Snowpaw as they walked toward the elder's den "I do feel the same with my mentor sometimes, I feel like I am bothering her to live her own life...but I guess that's not a thing as even now she left the camp without me..." she meowed to her. She slowly blinked her eyes as she entered the den, her eyes looked over at Falconstream there before facing the elder, noticing the prey she had there 'oh well, she doesn't need prey now, huh...' she thought to herself. She looked at her as she spoke to them "morning Hoenywhisker, Falconstream..." she greeted gently, giving a small smile "you could be always centered by someone...aren't you like the most respected member of the whole clan?" she meowed to the elder. Though she was not so happy about her having one or two ticks on her fur.

He moved quickly as he left the camp without nobody noticing anything, or so he hoped as nobody was not yet stopped him. He didn't know why he needed to act this way now, he was not a small kit anymore, but still, he felt like doing something he may regret later. He sniffed the air a saw the trails the two different patrols were taken, maybe he could follow his mentor's patrol, but there was still one scent that was separated from all else, it belonged to the Blazingash the young warrior of the clan. He decided to go and see what was he up there all alone.

He walked deeper into the forest, flicking his ears over to any sounds he heard. He stopped at the very moment when he saw a little group of finches eating near some trees. He got down and started to stalk the birds, preparing to attack some of them. Slowly he waited for a moment before jumping out of the bush and catching one finch, sadly the rest of the birds fly away.

He flicked his tail a little more excited now than a moment ago, after seeing the medicine cat inside the nursery. He followed the warrior, keeping his pace with him, without running too fast even if he kind of felt like running "so what do we do next?" he asked him.

Once Shadowclaw reached the small clearing he set down the shrew. Glancing at Sunshinekit he meowed "You wouldn't want to eat this shrew, it is really stale and could give you a belly ache. And since prey is plentiful right now, its ok not to eat it. During leafbare or leaffall however, when prey is scarce, we would be thankful for this. So even though we are using it for hunting practice now, we still need to be respectful of this prey." He gestured with his tail for the kits to sit next to each other in front of him. "Sunrisekit, hunting usually is fun for most cats most of the time." He didn't want to dampen her enthusiasm, but he wanted to be honest. "But there are times hunting is hard, you might be out in snow, pouring rain, or during really hot days. During those times you want to remember that you are hunting for your clan. And on that note, that is an important part of the warrior code. The clan must be fed first. You don't go out hunting to feed yourself when the clan needs the prey." He then turned to Waterfallkit, his eyes twinkling. "Before you even become an apprentice you will need to know the warriors code by heart, but you have time. For now, I'll show you the hunters crouch, I want you to watch me." Shadowclaw sunk down into the hunters crouch keeping his weight evenly balanced as his sank so his belly almost brush the ground. He kept his tail low, but didn't let it brush the ground. He held the pose for a few heartbeats, then sat up. "Ok, if you watched me carefully, you should be able to tell me what I did. Who wants to tell me?"

Pixie glanced at Moonshadow. "Its a really nice den with a big garden I like to play in. My friends live near me too, and they come and visit occasionally. Momo says that cats without gardens are mean and hurt other cats." Her voice trembled a bit at the end of her sentence. Her head drooped, she didn't see how she would find her way home, even if these cats wanted to help. "But I know I'm far away from my den. I was in the monster for a long time before we stopped for a break." Her voice rose into a wail "I just wanted to stretch my legs before going in the monster again! I didn't want to leave or get lost! I just want to go home!"

"Regardless of when there was a fox last seen within our borders we still need to keep our senses sharp. There may be a new fox that has decided to den there besides there are other dangers besides just foxes. Badgers, rouges, and very rarely twolegs," Lightningstar meowed with a flick of his tail after Stormpaw spoke.He then turned his attention to Rowanflame. "I've been well and Hawkpaw's training is going smoothly," he meowed.

Stormpaw blinked when Hawkpaw pressed against her and flicked her ears. "I-it's fine, I'm over it," she stammered softly. "But, thanks all the same." After Lightnintstar berated her she growled softly. "I didn't say there weren't other dangers, just that the last time anyone saw a fox in the territory was three moons ago."

Wolfshade stood up and stretched in her nest finally feeling rested enough to get up. Usually she wouldn't have slept in so late but she had gone on a few late night patrols. After stretching Wolfshade slowly strode out of the den. As she exited Wolfshade noticed Sootfur nearby thinking socializing with a clanmate she decided to go over and greet the tom. "Hello Sootfur how are you doing" Wolfshade mewed calmly before beginning to groom her paw.

Duskpaw made his way outside of camp to grab some fresh moss. he was feeling rather annoyed with getting left behind by his mentor. Even though he got to sleep having to clear out old bedding was not one of his favorite activities. He figured since his fellow apprentices were already in the den gathering moss he could save them a trip. Duskpaw could also avoid being in a crowded den and avoid touching dirty moss. So in his mind it was a win-win. Feeling happy with his logic Duskpaw strode through the forest in the search of some moss.

Moonshadow's eyes softened as the kit asked to go home, saying she was lost. Her heart ached for Pixie knowing
that her situation must be terrifying. Listening to her words, Moonshadow's heart rate quickened at the word monster. Did this mean the kit came from the twolegs den? She glanced over her shoulder as MistFur, and OceanPaw approached. She nodded at the comment Mistfur made regarding taking Pixie to Lightningstar "The only thing that worries me about that is if she comes from the twolegs. Her speaking of being in the monsters concerns me" she whispered. Her concern for the kit was high, but she didn't want her clan to be in danger at the same time. "Maybe someone in the clan knows where the twoleg nest is so we can bring her closer to it at least" she murmured

OceanPaw's head shot up hearing MoonShadow's call, as Mistfur made her way towards OceanPaw's aunt, she followed. Her curiousity getting the best of her. As they approached. Her eyes landed on Pixie. OceanPaw gasped, what is a kit doing here?! she thought to herself. Looking around in a confusion. The warriors beside her seemed tense, a little worried but overall not as freaked out as OceanPaw. Taking a mental note from them, OceanPaw puffed out her fur to make herself bigger ,a little more confident she hope.

Pixie's ears pricked as she listened to the new she-cat. "Who is Lightningstar? And what is your camp? Is that what you call your garden?" She felt her fur bristle as a younger cat padded up and puffed up a bit. Pixie let out a slight hiss and flattened her ears. There were so many strange cats around her and she was starting to feel panicked again. She looked frantically at Oriolegaze, he seemed calm still, and for some reason he made her feel calmer. She scooted slightly towards him and away from the other cats.

indentation The tortie blinked almost questioningly at the ginger tabby and came to a startling - and kind of sad in his opinion - realization that the stranger - Blazingash apparently - was introducing himself. Silently he listened to the tom quietly hoping that this wasn't a trick. "And this isn't in your clan's territory, right?" Ray inquired, before adding a squeaky introduction, "O-oh, and I'm Ray." Tail stiff and brushing against the ground the tabby, the feline made a jerking motion and cleared his throat."Can you lead me to this... Den. I just got to the area a few nights ago." Ray was willing to admit that he didn't trust this stranger - Blazingash - but if they got caught, then at least he'd have time to throw him under the monster and escape.

indentation There was no awe moment, not as the young kitten spoke. This young kittypet wouldn't invoke such emotions in him. I'm lying my tail off, they'll find my ears and tail on the opposite side of the territory. He thought with a twitch of his whiskers, bringing himself back to the reality of the situation with a sigh. Oriolegaze grimaced at the kit's story. Sounds like the two-legs either forgot her or worse abandoned her. Great. The tom nearly shot Mistfur a glare at her suggestion, doubly so after the kit's reaction. Sighing, he gave the kit a lick as she seemed to puff up from what was probably a mixture of fear and nervousness. "Let's not crowd her, don't want to scare her off." He meowed shooting a look at the others, before returning his gaze to Pixie. "Lightningstar is our leader, so he's our boss. He's a pretty good guy." His whiskers twitched at the thought of the clan's camp being compared to a kittypets garden, but the analogy worked. "As for camp, I guess, yes that is our Garden. It's our home." His tail twitched, "Would you like to join us in our Garden until we can locate your home?" He questioned, refraining from saying any more.

indentationResisting the urge to sigh loudly at Stormpaw's bull-headedness, the tom merely nodded his head and continued on walking. He paused to take in the scents around him for a heartbeat before continuing. Hoping to end the argument that he was sure was approaching, the tom spoke up. "Doesn't seem to be any foreign scents in this area. Well, nothing more than a quarter moon old, at least." This was odd as it was both relieving and mildly terrifying as they were still relatively closeish to camp, and yet the semi-faded scent suggested that whatever it was had only passed through, and hadn't stayed. Hawkpaw shook off the warring impulses and relaxed turning his gaze to his mentor, silently seeking some approval. Or at least a change in conversation.

indentation Her heart raced as Molesprout remained silent, as her panic began to overwhelm. In the back of her mind, she recognized the soft purr in her ear as Willowbreeze, - an attempt to comfort her, maybe? Vaguely she recognized the voices of Risingshine, and Phantomcry, but didn't really understand what either cat was saying. Or were they asking something? She didn't know. Blood rushed in her ears, and all she could hear was the rapid beat of her heart in her ears as her world began to spin panic bubbled up. Then, suddenly the shadows retreated and everything was clear. The panic rippled, twisted and a wave of new vicious anger took its place. Face contorting into a sneer, and shoving herself swiftly back a good tail length back, she gave the medicine cat her full attention ignoring Risingshine and Phantomcry to narrow in on a better target. One paw slammed down in the space between them claws unsheathed as she hissed out a warning. "If you don't tell me what's wrong in the next seventeen heartbeats Molesprout, I swear on Lynxstrike's spirit that I'll make you regret ever being born."
