(well let's see... how about your character runs into Moonstreak? He isn't mean and he doesn't have a temper, so he is easy to get along with. He is looking for a home after all.)

Skyspirit watched as things went on in Flameclan. Cats did their daily buisness as if they still had a leader and deputy telling them what to do and where to go. It would be up to Skyspirit to choose the new leader, whom after would have to choose the new deputy. She sighed, all this decision making before moonhigh. At least they still had quite a few warriors and others. Skyspirit turned and watched each and every cat with close examination. She needed desperately to make the right choice for this. She continued to watch.

As Aceheart stalked a plump vole he sprang right into Moonstreak. "Oof!" he grunted. "Hello there." he smiled at the rogue.

(oops, gotta love it when you fall behind. Anyway, just pretend that his run in with the snake happened right before Ace ran into Moonstreak.)

Moonstreak

The distant sounds of movement came from the east. The black cat lifted his head in curiosity and turned in the direction of the voices. The sound of a snake slithering through the underbrush made Moonstreak's ear twitch in acknowledgement of its presence and potential danger. He spotted the pure black creature as its thin, muscular body came towards his black paws. His ears laid flat to his head, the cat let out a threatening hiss, his eyes following the snake's every move. The black figure came closer, ignoring Moon's warning, its head coming up, its body arching as it raised from the dirt. Moonstreak began to inch backwards, his blue eyes meeting with slitted yellow ones. The snake lunged, its movements lightning fast, but Moon could match it, twisting his body away just in time as the fangs snapped back together and the great black head retracted. Moonstreak landed on his back from the awkward jump, but regained his paws within seconds, poised and ready for the next attack. White flashed as the snake opened its mouth wide, showing dripping white fangs and green venom seeping through its jaws. A Black Mamba, one of the most poisonous and quick snakes in the world. Moonstreak raised his fur, trying to appear larger and more intimidating. His claws extended, he swiped at the Mamba and the snake flinched giving a hiss and then disappearing into the bushes from whence it came. Moon let his fur fall and stretched out, easing the tension in his tight muscles. He shook his right front paw and then strode off back on his mission to find some sign of life.
