Thorn'Patch glanced at his apprentice admiringly. Even for not speaking, Whisper' Paw knew how to defend his clan and his territory. He looked at the loner as she spoke. He was suprised at what came out of the she-cats mouth. Usually rouges and loners attack or try to take their prey back, but this one actually seemed genuine. His eyes opened in suprise, " Oh, well," He was speechless. What was he supposed to say? " Well, I guess you better go then" He felt bad for being rude, but she still had to get off of Dark'Clan Territory.

She huffed when she got on her side of the border. She was offended by the accusation of her being a rogue. Sure she screwed up and hopped the border she apologized, didn’t demand her rabbit. Well she didn’t catch it so it wasn’t hers. She went back to hunting and caught a couple voles and a mouse that she dropped just a paw length into the dark clan border as her apology and caught a small sparrow on her side before padding to her makeshift den not far from the border among the tree roots

indentation Sprinting back to camp, the amber-eyed tom made it back to camp in record time. Slowing his pace as he padded into the camp, he came to a near full stop as he glanced around and nodding to himself. Trotting over to the medicine cat den, the tom placed the cobwebbed wrapped stick in the place where the older cobweb wrapped stick was. Silently he nodded to himself once more and turned to the other herb stores. Setting the fennel stems and dock leaves down just off to the side, Emberpuddle calmly began to put them in their proper place.

indentation Eyes narrowing, the she-cat curled her lip in a flash of disdain at the mention of their previous deputy. Leafsprig was scum, he had abandoned his clan, the ultimate sin in her mind. Face smoothing out, she allowed herself to calm. "Well, there's not much I can say in this situation." She started with a hum, "I suppose there are a few cats that might make a good deputy, but the two of us are very different Nightstar. That being said, I'd look for a deputy that both compliments your leading style, but is different. Someone whose strength is your weakness, and whose weakness is your strength, to balance each other out." Her near sightless eyes wandered around the camp as if search out a specific cat. "But really a cat with experience is key. Someone like Sageflame is inadvisable, and I'd claw the ears off anyone who disagreed on general principle. Honestly, if Doebrook wasn't heavy with kits, I'd suggest her."
One of the many things that Hazeshade hated was that Nightstar was so young. Her training was a horrifying thing to watch, but being made deputy and then clan leader so young did her no favors in her mind. While she was spry and less likely to lose lives due to sickness, there were certain things that only experience could teach. Getting those lessons as a deputy was bad enough. Mentally sighing and shaking her head the she-cat returned her hazy gaze back to Nightstar.

Though I think we'll stay clear of border patrols until we get some basic battle training done." He paused glancing between Blazingsun and Tigerstep. Dewsplash let out a hum then mewed,"Why don't we go see if we can join Tigerstep's hunting patrol. It'll allow you to both see more territory and get some training done." It's a good idea, efficient. Getting to his feet the male allowed his gaze to wander while he waited for any kind of voclization from his apprentice.
