The sounds of heavy footsteps awoke Rosewater from her peaceful trance, ears swiveling quickly towards the sound. She gracefully stood, head high and body turning to the source. While she was well aware that Stormhaze would no doubt have ruined the cobwebs so carefully placed upon his back, she most definitely didn't expect to see them in complete and utter shambles. Her face contorted into a scowl as she strode over to the young tom, amber eyes narrowing. Her gaze softened slightly, though, when she sent a glance to the side and saw Quietrain's amused expression. It didn't stop her from rolling her eyes before stopping beside the tom, gaze hardened once more.
"One afternoon. We left you alone for one afternoon." she huffed, gently pulling off the remains of the old webs. While she most definitely wasn't happy, she still did her job with her patient's comfort in mind. Rosewater made quick work of her task, demanding him to stay as she briskly grabbed some cobwebs from the herb store. Squeezing back out past Reeddapple (for once, her small size had a use), the molly hastily replaced the webs, making sure they were quite a bit tighter than before. Sighing, she asked, her tone more gentle and kind as usual, "Do you feel any sort of pain? Best if you let us know now before an infection begins. Even the hardest cats can be brought to their knees by it."

Feeling her eyes roll, Fallencloud let out an amused huff. Kindleflame truly was flirty. She could hardly tell if he was being genuine anymore. Giving a quick scan, she turned her attention to the tom beside her "Oh, hush; you will definitely find someone who's heart lays with you. Simply because you are flirty doesn't mean you aren't loyal. You've made it this far as a guard, that must mean something. Someone's mind continues to float in your direction, that's for sure. Don't let your hopes die off." With her small, hopefully uplifting rant finished, the white molly focused once more on the new cats that scattered into camp.
Tables were being set into place for dinner, and patrols were returning. Her bright amber gaze lingered on Stormhaze as he swiftly made his way into camp. His bandages were a mess, and no doubt would he receive quite the scolding for doing so. She had to tear her eyes away, pelt heating; perhaps, she had let her stare linger for too long. She made more of the new cats returning, eyes flickering over to the temple entrance every once in a while. She was starting to feel the exhaustion settle into her bones and muscles. Staying up for so long the previous night had been an awful idea.

Giving a curt nod, Coldfang looked upward, eyes squinting at the blazing sun that was most certainly sinking farther down the sky. Dinner would be served soon, and no one was going to be happy that they hadn't caught as much as expected. Hopefully, the other patrols had caught smaller prey, or else the Scouts and scribes wouldn't eat as much as usual. "Agreed; we better scurry on back. It's nearly time for dinner." Scooping up the young hare, the Siamese led the way to camp, unable to continue his string of small talk due to the fur in his mouth. Upon returning, he made a beeline for the cellar, jaw sore from holding the weight of his catch for so long. He felt jittery, blue eyes scanning the area for anything he could do to help out in any way.

Sagepaw felt like her curiosity peak on the walk back to camp. She had done what was asked of her in silence, mind pre-occupied in thought. No particular thoughts; just simple strands floating about, not quite taking root, only allowing her to take a glimpse. Her mind was at an empty peace, lost in time. So lost, she hadn't even noticed when her surroundings had changed to that of the camp entrance, the trial in such an annual thing it had been a blur. It really was late out, for tables were being taken out. The smack into reality caused herself to focus suddenly. Unaware of what to now do, she felt the panic rise and let her eyes wander around for any directions.

Looking around, Mothpaw kept his focus, for once, dividing it every once in a while to cast a friendly smile or respectful bow to passersby. He had been sent out to ask about anything that needed to be recorded for any upcoming events. With all that had happened, certainly something would be happening. But, in order to ask, he needed to find a cat who he could speak to, and pass the question down the line. Hazel eyes gleaming, his gaze landed upon an unsuspecting Badgerpaw. Mothpaw saw the young tom as a friend (even if Badgerpaw thought otherwise), for the two had grown up in the same den together as kits, and they had been playmates. With a skip in his step, the tabby came up beside the black-and-white tom, face friendly and optimistic.
"Good evening, Badgerpaw! I was wondering if you mind helping me out with a favor. It'll only take a quick second" he chirped, making sure do avoid eye contact, an uncommon act for him. While he viewed the fellow apprentice as a friend, that didn't stop the training to respect high-bloods. Badgerpaw was still a higher rank than them, despite the friendly past and close age.

Taking in a deep breath, Farrah paused once again. She was almost done helping place out the tables. She would soon have to go and retrieve Zeri soon, in order to ready themselves to play their harp, as usual. Dragging out a chair, she found herself looking for any of the young courtiers. Layla continued her glamorous chore (much to Farrah's dismay), and Fallon had just emerged from the mines, perhaps to give the chattel cats their daily meal. Farrah would have to volunteer to go down there and check on the new addition to the "family". Hearing a dismissal from a nearby high-blood, Farrah gave a respectful nod and hurried off to find Zeri; supper would be served soon, and the young cat needed to prepare.
She found them in one of the dens, laboring away. Eyes softening, Farrah hesitated calling out their name. She didn't know much about the young courtier, but that didn't stop the need to help care for them. Letting out a sigh, she gently said " Zeri, hon'. It's time to get ready. Suppers 'bout to be served, and we need to spruce ourselves up. Tune that old harp of yours, perhaps."
