Murderers in Riverclan V.3 [welcome back!]

Breezefire decided to not tell if the young tom that his mother had died. He already figured it out. For the worse. "Jadestar... should I..." Breezefire was at a lost for words. This would be her first time dealing with death after her mentor died. Breamkit's wails, the agony, the pain, the sorrow that hung in the room. If only Silverheart was there, none of the pain would have submerged.

xxxthe long-legged molly awoke that morning to the sounds of beamkit's wails, her head flicking up with a chirp as she shook sleep from her hazel gaze. blinking in confusion, pigeonpaw gave a brief stretch before padding out of her den towards the quiet cries, brow furrowed in concern as she noted jade star and breezefire standing by the nursery, onyxpaw, lavenderscent and firefeather making their ways out of their dens and out of camp.

xxxcurious, the pale-furred apprentice made her own way to the nursery, deciding to think about breakfast at a later state, standing at the mouth of the den for a brief second as she took in the situation in front of her. "hey, what's going o- oH MY STARCLAN-"

xxxcutting herself off, pigeonpaw froze as she noted the position of the queen in her nest- there was no way she could have fallen asleep in that position, jaws agape, seemingly in pain with beam kit at her belly. her eyes widened. "is she-"

Jadestar didn't know what to say. She simply went back over to her sister and sat down, lightly curling her tail around Breamkit. She always really sucked at making cats feel better. So, she opted to say nothing and let the kit mourn. Staring blindly at the wall, she shuddered slightly thinking about how she was now the only remaining member of her family. "B-breamkit.. I dont want you to sleep alone tonight, so you may sleep in my den if you want. But, I won't force you." She wasn't sure if it was a murder, or if she just died from some sort of sickness, but either way she didn't want breamkit to be harmed, but she also didn't want him to be forced ti stare at his mother while he tried to sleep. She flicked her tail as a subtle signal to the cats crowding the den to leave. She only really wanted to see if lavender scent knew anything.

Onyxpaw trembled before saying "she is in the nursery. Come on" she bounded forward, not waiting for her mentor as she shoved through the gathering crowd as she stopped, staring down at silverheart again. She wanted to comfort the mourning kit that was at her belly, but she couldnt say anything.

FireFeather padded slowly back to the camp. There was no action to be had at the borders, and the longer he stayed unsure about the screech he heard before he was sent out, the more tense he felt.
When he returned he could clearly see that it he wasn’t the only one who was so tense. He didn’t see JadeStar anywhere, and figured she was still busy with whatever she was doing. He saw a couple cats leave the nursery and simply sat down, seeing as JadeStar seemed to want space.
At this point it was becoming obvious. There was a scent that seemed to linger, making his fur stand on end. Someone in the nursery was dead. He hadn’t found traces of fox or badger at the borders, not even rogue or other trespassers. It was an inside job. Now all he had to do was wait to report to his leader, and wonder whether the death was of a healthy, strong queen, or a young kit.
