Nightstripe was sitting near the entrance to the camp, his sleek black fur shimmered in the warm morning sunlight. He turns to face her. "It's fine, Willowstep," he mews, dipping his head. "They've already left. I thought you might like to come hunting with me instead?"
Nightstripe flicks his nose towards the fresh-kill pile. It was low. He knew he could really use the quick she-cat's hunting skills.

Willowstep lifted her mattered tail and gave it a few quick licks before looking back up at Nightstripe. "I'd love that- I mean- yeah ok! The clan does need more prey so," she chuckled blushing and then mewed happily, "we should get a move on! The early bird gets the worm!"

Nightstripe laughs. "Great! Let's go, then." He purrs, and trots out of the entrance. He made sure Willowstep was following before he began to run to the pines. They made it quickly, and he began looking around for prey. He was after a mouse, or maybe even a squirrel if he was lucky. Nightstripe follows a small trail to the shade of a gigantic pine, where he saw a tiny critter lurking. A wood mouse.
He lowers himself, and stalked it silently. At the last moment, he pounces, and finishes it with a sharp bite. Nightstripe prouldy carries his catch back to Willowstep, where he buried it. He'd pick it up later once he caught more.

Willowstep smiles at Nightstripe innocently, "nice catch! But look what I caught!" She flicked her long, silver tail towards a plump squirrel, widening her smile. "I think we should catch a few more mice each before we head back to camp." She walks over to Nightstripe and nudges him on the shoulder. "Don't just stand there like a stunned mouse, we've got a clan to feed!" She me we'd happily as she sprinted off into the trees only to return with a mouse.

Nightstripe looks at her. He was surprised with her catch. How lucky! He turns around, heading a different way to catch a few more mice. He'd head back once he caught a few. He spots one, and pounces--but misses? It was a quick one. Nightstripe hisses in frustration. Thankfully however, he managed to catch two others, and made his way back to the meeting spot where Willowstep would be.

Willowstep trotted proudly into the meeting area holding two fairly plump mice and a black bird in her jaws. "I don't know why but the prey seems richer down the south side of the territory." She pointed her ears in the direction she had come from. "You made some nice catches- for a mousebrain!" She chuckled happily before nodding towards where she had buried her squirrel.

"I'll have to remember that next time." Nightstripe purrs. He digs up the mouse he caught first, and looks over his shoulder. "A mouse-brain? Me?" Nightstripe laughs, holding his catch in his mouth.

Willowstep purrs playfully as she flicks her squirrel into the air so that she can catch it in her jaws only to place it down carefully again, "yeah! You heard me, mouse-brain!" Willowstep crouched playfully swishing her tail high in the air.

Nightstripe's tail twitches, and he growls playfully--as if he were fighting on the battlefield. He pounces on her, pinning her to the ground on her back. "I'm no mouse-brain!" He bellows, holding back a laugh.

Willowstep gasps as the wind I saw knocked from her. Nightstripe was bigger than Willowstep. She narrowed her eyes and smirked at him being held down beneath him she gasped playfully, "mouse brain" before knocking him off and dodging around him using her agility to dodge his well timed swipes.
