Finchstar awoke from her nap. She stretched her body, yawning. "I better go and train Leafpaw." The pale yellow tabby padded to the Apprentices den.

Crowflight grumbled. "There's nothing to do. And it's cold outside. Even though there's barely any snow.."

She squealed as Dapplekit batted at Ashkit's tail. Dapplekit didn't seem bothered by Ashkit's body. She thought him as a normal kit. Just born differently.

OCC: Finchstar is planning to have kits soon. She needs a mate so boys, Get ready to impress her!

Thrushleap laid in the center of the camp, picking at her vole every now and then. Really, her mind was elsewhere at the moment - her sister, Cloudtuft, was sleeping, anyway, so it's not like she'd have anyone to talk to. She wasn't.. often talked to.

Leafpaw

Leafpaw sat in the entrance of the camp, batting at her own tail, frowning. 'Like always,' she thought grumpily, 'I don't have anything to do.' She was similar to Thrushleap in that single way - Thrushleap was a much more loving, caring molly than Leafpaw - no one ever wanted to talk to her. It was upsetting to Leafpaw, to say the very least.

"Oh. I see." Juniperfrost was now at a loss for words, unsure as to what to say. "Who do you think will be Ashkit's mentor?" he decided to ask - it was a safe question, he knew that much.

Duskfall

While most others were at camp, lazing about, Duskfall was hunting. So far, he'd caught a single robin.. not much, he knew that, but it was good for getting his mind off of his thoughts - not necessarily 'disturbing' thoughts to others, but to Duskfall, they were disturbing enough for him to want to keep his mind away from them, which was not something the tom normally wanted. Nevertheless, he was out and hunting.

Owlfeather grumbled to herself, sitting up in a tree overlooking the camp. She complained about things often, and this just so happened to be one of those times. Currently, pine needles were falling onto her head from squirrels running about in the branches above her, but she just didn't feel like standing up and doing anything about it.

Leafpaw also had spotted her mentor from across the clearing. "Hey, Finchstar! I'm over here, you mole!" she snapped at her mentor. Leafpaw knew moles were blind.. like most everyone else did, but that was besides the point. "Are we going to train or not?" Her attitude might have been the reason her ceremony was held back - it wasn't, sure, but if she hadn't gone off to fight a loner on territory alone, her snarkiness might have caused it.

Duskfall had returned to the camp, successful in it with his catches of three mice and a robin. He set the soon-to-be meals on the fresh-kill pile, and turned to leave the camp when he spotted Finchstar pad towards the apprentices' den. "Hello, Finchstar," he called to her, to be polite. He knew she had to be off to train Leafpaw - the poor soul.. Leafpaw had to be the sassiest, most rude apprentice - if not the most rude cat in general in Doveclan - in all of Doveclan.

"O-oh," Juniperfrost meowed quietly, his ears falling flat to his head. "I'm really n-not all.. that," he added, blushing profusely. "Besides, I-I doubt I'd be a good mentor, anyway.. H-he wouldn't want his father for a mentor." The tortoiseshell tom's eyes widened when he realized what he said. "I-I mean! I didn't mean that, I swear! I.. I.." He stood up shakily and belted away from her, extremely embarrassed at what he'd said. 'You IDIOT!' Juniperfrost mentally screamed at himself. He hadn't meant to express his feelings for her THAT way!
