Mintpaw padded over to the medicine cat den, a shallow cavelike den made from some fallen tree branches inbetween the nursery and the leaders den. Pausing before the entrance, Mintpaw pushed aside the fern branches that lightly screened the entrance, and went inside, inhaling deeply the smell.

The moody cat slowly crept along the course turf of leaves and grass of many moons before. He looked towards the sky and gazed at the luminous and striking moon that hung upon the starry sky. "Good, it's almost time..." He said softly to himself. He continued on his journey in the darkness until he clung to the back of a large rock and starred hatefully upon the gathered clan of cats below. "One day, this foolish clan will realize my potential and accept me once again. They'll deeply regret the day they cast me out into the wilderness..."
