"Are you sure? You look awfully tired. Ara, please eat." He looked down at her, his eyes soft and gentle, yet somehow firm and commanding. There were certain situations where going against her word were necessary, this was one of them. "Ara, don't be a fool. Eat something, get your strength back. You need it." He stood tall, his chest puffed out, his head held high.

Ara snorted but took a bite off the leg, chewing it thoughtfully. "Send a patrol to the East, Viho. I will go with them." She nodded, folding her paws. "I know something is over there, I just don't know what it is yet." The Weaver sent a pebble soaring into the air and landing with a dull thump a few feet away. "After all, if there is any thing, it is best that I handle it, or at least see it. Maybe it is a demon, or something of the like?" Ara licked her nose. "You never know."

Viho nodded, frowning. "Alright. But for now, rest. I'll return to you once I have finished organising it." He dipped his head to her, turned and walked into the middle of camp. Raising his head in a howl, he called for the pack. "Ara wants to form a patrol to the east. Who will be brave enough to go with her to seek the answer to this mystery? Or do I have to go myself..."

Ara nodded her thanks and finished off her portion of the deer. The pack was still small, if she had a younger weaver to help her she might be able to do it, but no pups had been born this spring. The old wolf got up slowly and turned her face to the rising sun. "We need to head out soon if we are to reach the East before darkness falls." She added. "We do not know what lurks in the shadows there. We need at least four wolves for this trip, even if it leaves our camp unguarded, briefly."

Almost as if he could read her mind, he nodded slowly. "I agree... We need to expand our pack. There were no pups born this year, no new members. If we do not get new members soon, our pack will fall apart." He sighed, looking away from all of them, although his eyes tempted to stray back to Ara. But he forced them to stay on target, he had a duty to do, and he was going to do it.
