Mintpaw whips her tail away and swipes the squirrel from the pile and laid it in front of him. "Would you like the first bite?" Looks at the small kit and purrs, "What?" She asked excitedly?

"I'm 6 moons! I'm going to be an appretince!" Larkkit meowed, spinning around.

Mintpaw smiles, "congratulations! i bet your excited"

Larkkit nodded. "I am!"

Mintpaw purrs, "Go wash your fur!" she said affectionetly

Rootpaw watched the kit, remembering when he was that excited, than flicked her head with the tip of his tail. "No dah, silly." He teased, and then turned back to the apprentice, meeting her excited gaze with one of his own, "I'm going to be a warrior!" He announced, "Maybe I'll be your mentor!" He purred with amusement, as if Darkstar would pick him, of all cats to be a mentor. He was young, irresponsible, irrational, unreliable, and mischievous; everything a mentor wasn't. He took up Mintpaw's offer, and was the first to take a bite of the squirrel, though held the kit's gaze the entire time.

Mintpaw took a bite of the fat squirrel and purred. "mmmm this good!" she licked her lips and purred.
