Silverstar awoke in her den as sun light filtered through the bramble tendrils that hug down over the entrance, providing a curtain. She had put those there only a moon ago. Her stunning blue eyes opened, blinking to adjust to the soft light, and a yawn escaped her jaws as she sat up. Bits of moss clung to her silvery pelt and she picked them out then shook quickly. It was time she talked to Moonshade about the morning patrols. After a good stretch, Silverstar walked out of her den, pushing through the brambles, and out onto the High Ledge. Her beautiful silver tabby pelt shimmered in the sunlight that speckled it as she looked around for her dark deputy. She soon spotted her talking with Ashice and jumped down from boulder to boulder until she reached the ground. Silverstar trotted gracefully over to the two cats and smiled warmly. "Good morning, Moonshade, Ashice." she mewed, nodding to each of them in turn. Then her brilliant blue gaze rested on Moonshade, "Moonshade, I must talk to you about the patrols for this morning." As she waited for her deputy's reply, Silverstar sat down and neatly curled her tail around her paws.

The extremely dark she-cat turned her attention from the tom in front of her to a silvery figure making it's way to them. She returned the warm smile and nodded to Silverstar. "Yes, Silverstar; of course." Moonshade turned back to Ashice and mewed, "Will you excuse me?" She blinked warmly and rested her tail-tip on his shoulder for a moment before turning to where Silverstar was standing. As she looked away, she saw a stunning silver tom with black splotches and intense amber eyes. She blinked, recognizing that tom anywhere. Moonshade looked at the ground for a moment, and then gazed at Secretgrudge for a moment, smiling a silent greeting. She flicked one ear and looked away from the tom who she'd gotten close to over the past couple of moons as a deputy; going from bickering clanmates to friends in only a few days. But were they just friends? From the way he was looking at Moonshade, she sure didn't feel like that was enough to say on describing their relationship at the moment. "So. Patrols. Who should we send? I don't think many of the warriors are up yet, anyway."

Silverstar watched as Moonshade rested her tail on Ashice's shoulder. A strange twinge in her belly made her tail lash. What was that? Jealousy? Silverstar's eyes betrayed no emotion even though she felt jealous for some unknown reason. Unknown is what she wants you to think. When Moonshade turned to look at her, she smiled at Ashice kindly then looked back at Moonshade, still smiling. "Yes, I know. That is why I was going to lead a patrol. I will take Fireface and Ashice since they are already up." she mewed, flicking her tail at her brother who sat outside the warriors den. He had been there since midnight.

Cloudfeather finished her mouse and strained her ears to hear Moonsahde and SIlverstar's conversation. Then, quickly jumped to her paws. Patrol! She exclaimed in her head and scented towards Silverstar and Moonshade. "Hiya, Moonshade, Silverstar," She greeted, and dipped her head towards the Deputy and Silverstar. Her sightless green eyes staring blindly at Silverstar as if she were there. "May I join in a patrol?"

Starpaw looked at her, shocked. "Okay!" She exclaimed and proded the ground exidedely.

Moonshade nodded in reply to Silverstar. She looked around to find others who might want to go hunting. She blinked when Cloudfeather came to them. The dark she-cat smiled. "Of course. I was about to make up a hunting patrol now; you can lead it. Who else..." she murmured the last bit to herself, looking for more warriors.
