ShadeStripe let the wind ruffle her warm fur as she stood near the thunderPath. She hated the smell but Wanted to get to river and ThunderClan territory for a bit of exploration.

Featherstar woke and looked down at her kits. All three had their eyes open bit Gingerkit was different. Her eyes had a creamy-blue film over them and there was almost no pupil. My kit is blind! she licked Gingerkit on the head. " Gingerkit, can you see me?"

" Mom? where are you?" Gingerkit asked even though she was right beside Featherstar.

Starkit yawned. She looked around and stopped at Stonekit. " Hey, Stonekit, wake up!" She squeaked as she prodded her brother with a paw.

( Yeah. Now we can be back at camp.)

Fawnleap walked back to camp with a mouth full of prey. She dropped the prey in the pile and sat down to to eat a mouse with Duskfur.

Duskfur licked her ear. "Hows it going?"

Dragonclaw nodded and followed after Moonstar.

"No, we can go to the lake. I'd rather you walk less. And you're right, it's much prettier there," Dustwing meowed.

Sandtail padded next to Moonstar. "So, where are we hunting today?" she asked her.

"Hmm, over by the stram. Great place. We can also reanforce the boarder. I heard what Dustwing and Darkclaw ran into yesterday. Darkclaw was badly hurt and even worse, by a WIndclan cat on out territory!" She led them to the stream.

Sandtail said, "I am going to go down to the reeds. Either of you want to come?" with a bow to the clan leader.

"No," said Moonstar, "I am going to hunt in the woods around here. Dragonclaw, you stay with her." and then vanished into the brush.

Darkclaw padded next to her in a heavy limp. "I can't think you enough for this. And the lake is prettier, but not as much as you."

Dragonclaw nodded. He was a bit happy that he and Sandtail would get to hunt together without Moonstar being there. He tasted the air for prey.

Flamestripe glanced over at Featherstar. "Whats wrong?" he asked. then he added, "I don't know what happened over there, but i know what's wrong with me. Shapestripe barley had these kits and now I'm the one being mom!"
