Shadowcast pricked his ears to hear the ceremony from the nursery. His eyes widened as it was announced that Oakflower was dead. With a dip of his head, Shadowcast whispered. "Lilypaw will be an excellent medicine cat." Before hearing more names. "Must be a warrior and apprentice ceremony." He added.

Duststorm chanted with the rest of the Clan anyway. "Minnowash, Firetooth." He called quietly before looking at Felicity and Dapplekit. "Cherrypaw! Cherrypaw!" He called once the kit had been given a new name.

Minnowash looked at Spottedpaw and smiled. "Thanks, and I will, don't worry." She mewed, brushing her muzzle briefly with Spottedpaw's before following Reedstar to the medicine cat den. "Thank you, Lilypaw." The fæ dipped her head to the new medicine cat before bending down and eating the bitter herbs.
