Clifftail broke out laughing, "What a great end, considering she is a queen. That will work, but I won't sound like some poetic freak." He smirked, his tail flicking back and forth. "So.. You like Purpleflower?"

Herringpaw shook his head. "I don't feel so good..." He murmured.

"What?" Seabreeze laughed. "Where'd you get that from? I'm just giving you something to work with here!" He nudged Clifftail in the shoulder. "Aaanyway...We should probably get back to the den now. It's freezing out here! Brrr!" He shivered once before getting to his paws. "You coming?"

"You better not be sick!" Beechpaw warned him. "I can't travel with a sick cat, and I can't travel by myself either, so your only option is to feel better! Now come on." She set off once again. The treetops were beginning to grow thinner and less sturdy.

Clifftail smirked before following. "Yeah, I'm coming. Ooh the culprit is changing the subject... Sneaky." The tom crawled into his nest before whispering. "Thank you, Seabreeze."

Herringpaw gulped before replying, "Beechpaw, its not safe and I'm leaving." He began to make his way back the way they came.

"Water," was all Ripplestripe said. Sure enough, water was beginning to run through the forest; although it would have barely reached a cat's belly at the low level it was at, Ripplestripe knew that would change before too long. "Higher," he told Mapleshadow.

Mapleshadow didn't dare look back down, for fear of losing her grip on the tree. She hoisted herself up a few more tail-lengths behind Ripplestripe, but she could feel the bark beneath her snagging on her long belly fur, and it made it hard to push herslef up the tree.

Salmonfall smiled and let out a sigh of relief. "Agreed," she purred. She was about to tell him about her training session with Gingerpaw and Blitzpaw, but she stopped herself, realizing it'll just remind him of Saltpaw.

Cornfur's relief was short lived. When he and Salmonfall were a few fox-lengths away from the camp entrance, he felt a cold creeping over one of his hind paws. Looking back, he froze. "Uhh, Salmonfall. I think we're gonna have a problem." He said nodding towards the thin layer of water that had started to cover the forest floor.

Foxcloud watched the two toms return. Finally, she curled back up and attempted to get some sleep.

"Sneaky my tail!" Seabreeze shot back, but he was smiling as he climbed into his own nest. "What was that? I didn't hear you."

"What?" Beechpaw whirled around, looking horrified. "But you can't leave now!" she protested. "We've come this far; we have to keep going!"

Ripplestripe glanced behind him to see that Mapleshadow was struggling and swiftly retreated to her side. The tabby tom gave her a rough nudge in the hopes that it might help free her fur from the bark's grip. "Keep going. Don't rush."

Frostkit wandered out of the nursery on unsteady, chubby legs, mewling pitifully as she had no clue where she was going. She tumbled onto her back and kicked her legs, confused and frightened as she started to wail on her wabbily legs.
