Moonstar was waiting in the middle of the clearing. "Let's go." she said, and led the way out of camp.

"Hmm, maybe to the lake? It's not as far as the river and it's much prettier there. But if you wish to go to the river, then we'll go there."

Featherstar woke and looked down at her kits. All three had their eyes open bit Gingerkit was different. Her eyes had a creamy-blue film over them and there was almost no pupil. My kit is blind! she licked Gingerkit on the head. " Gingerkit, can you see me?"

" Mom? where are you?" Gingerkit asked even though she was right beside Featherstar.

Starkit yawned. She looked around and stopped at Stonekit. " Hey, Stonekit, wake up!" She squeaked as she prodded her brother with a paw.

Fawnleap walked back to camp with a mouth full of prey. She dropped the prey in the pile and sat down to to eat a mouse with Duskfur.

Dragonclaw nodded and followed after Moonstar.

"No, we can go to the lake. I'd rather you walk less. And you're right, it's much prettier there," Dustwing meowed.
