Spottedkit nodded in Windsong's direction and then looked between the two siblings and said, " Let's play clan war~"

I glance at Shadepelt, startled, "Oh, uh, sure. We can hunt later." I say, but I feel a strange shift in our friendship has toppled over, "But, I don't need to rest, or eat, just let me check on Thunderstar and her kits. I'll report the patrol, and then we can go." I say, realizing the sooner we talk the better.

Hawktail:
I purr again, "Yes, I can join you." I say, then add, "Shadekit, you have to sleep just like all the other kits. Just like mommy, and daddy. Otherwise you'll never grow up to be a big, strong warrior." I say firmly, then lick the little kit gently, curling around Thunderstar and the kits, "Let's go to sleep, everyone." I sigh.

When we finally get back to camp, I decide to stop by and see the kits as well, but when I peek into Thunderstar's den, I see that she and Hawktail are sleeping. Backing away, I walk over to Foxfur, in passing, I meow a warm hello to Skysong. When I reach the deputy - I keep having to remind myself that's what she is now - I dip my head respectfully before speaking. "Thunderstar is asleep with Hawktail and their kits." I say briefly, "I don't think anything is wrong; they seem healthy enough. Big for their age, even." I say, about the kits, then add, nervously, "So... hunting?"
