A few seconds after Bluetail plunged into the water after him, he felt a sharp tug at his tail. With a little cry he swung himself around to scan the water below him for her silhouette in the water, but it was already gone. He squinted, trying to locate the she-cat who was lurking in the depths of the water around him.
The sloshing of water made Darkpelt whip around in surprise. Bluetail was there, laughing. "I'm like a fish!" She giggled before throwing her paws around his neck. It made him stagger in the water for a moment, but he soon regained his balance. He treaded in the water easily now, and it was actually quite relaxing. He laughed as Bluetail leaned forward to nom on his ear. "Just like it." He meowed in agreement to her statement about being a fish. "A big fluffy fish."
Darkpelt licked her cheek briskly. "Maybe we should head back now. My legs are getting a little tired." He suggested.

She had devoured the squirrel all too quickly, and Wolfheart smiled as she praised him, or more, the squirrel's flavor. He tilted his head when she had commented that she never had tasted one of the bushy tailed prey, shaking his head with a tiny laugh. Wolfheart had realized he was just as hungry, but didn't want to ruin the experience for her, and decided to wait until they were back at the camp to eat.
Maybe we could hunt a bit more. After all, the clan does need prey all the time, especially with all the new additions, he mused responsibly, flicking his ear thoughtfully. An insisting voice then reminded him, and we'll get to spend more time with each other.
Then she hugged him, and he couldn't think anymore.
Wolfheart's breath caught in his throat as he felt the tips of his ears growing hot. She's hugging me, he thought wildly, his eyes glowing. He coughed once, all too aware of how close Duskpaw was.
"It.... it was nothing," he stammered. Say something else, mouse brain! he hissed inwardly to himself. "So, uh.... how's your nose?" Of course it was the lamest thing he could ever say, but Wolfheart's mind had gone hazy with Duskpaw so close, her paws wrapped around his neck.... her gentle touch... her sweet scent, mixed in with a hint of squirrel. He breathed in swiftly, inwardly sighing softly.
