Darkclaw growled going into a shadow. She sprung up out of a nearby tree's shadow and landed on the badger's back. She held on claws ripping through fur into flesh, teeth like daggers sinking into skin.

[kibblengrits]

The badger huffed in pain and frustration it snapped at Mudstripe. Desertsong rolled under the badger, a very dangerous move, and clawed it's soft underbelly. A stream of fast moving dust shot up into the badger's face. The badger spat and sputtered trying to get the dirt out of his ears, mouth and nose.

Darkclaw was flung off the badger. She hissed and landed in a pile of dirt. She manipulated the shadow under it trying to confuse the big beast. She snuck up into the tree again while moving the shadow. The badger swiped at the shadow as she chuckled in the tree almost ready to make her move.

Mudstripe kept focus as he stood up on his back legs, balancing on the badger while it was blinded, murmuring something, The badger suddenly flopped to one side, and Mudstripe leaped off of the badger as it fell.

Desertsong moved from under it panting, she ran to help Darkclaw with the other one. She pounced on the badger's haunches and dug her claws into it's flanks. The badger grunted in pain, it reared back into a tree, knocking her out. Desertsong fell to the ground with a hard thud.

Darkclaw leaped down on the badger putting all force she had into herself to land on its head. She landed squarely on her target. The badger let out a gurtual sound of pain. She had pushed its jaws closed right on its tongue. She hissed claws shredding its bear-like ears. She glanced at Desertsong and leaped to her biting into her scruff and dragging her up the tree.

Mudstripe yowled a battle cry as he leaped to help Desertsong, helping her onto his back, as he carried her to some ferns nearby. "Please be okay," He meowed, lapping his tongue over her cheek before he leaped into the battle again, now staring at the badger that was confronting Darkclaw, and he narrowed his eyes, as the badger flopped onto the ground like the first one did.

The remaining badger fled, it limped away on a severely injured leg. Desertsong was barely breating, a trickle of scarlet blood dripped down her head.

As the last badger fled, Mudstripe clawed his way up the tree. Perching next to Desertsong, he lifted her by her scruff and dragged her down the tree. Setting her down on a clump of ferns, he lapped the blood off of her head, and nudged her, hoping to wake her.
