"I-I'm Ashcloud." she stammered, slightly recognizing the cat who was speaking to her. Maybe she'd seen him at gatherings, or maybe he was a former Clanmate. She gave a nervious smile, looking back at Pineclaw with uncertainty.

Cinder giggled, leaping on her and battering her ears lightly and with no claws.

Wooly gave him a quizzical look. "But you've got me. Why should it be lonely?" she mewed, confusion and sadness sparking in her gaze. She wasn't sure what he ment, and felt small by his comment. She looked down and away, drawing her tail close to her side.

Brindlestripe twitched his tail, he stayed silent as he heard Cherryleaf's sweet voice as she called for Gingerpaw. Brindlestripe wondered what it would be like having a apprentice, would this be the first thing Specklepaw should do, or shouldn't it. No, this would teach him the ways of patrols. This would be a wonderful first assessment. Brindlestripe could relate, his first time was on a patrol to. Then what did he have to worry about? On this patrol he would show Specklepaw around the camp.

He looked at it with a frown, "What did you do?" He asked calmly but with obvious concern.

Cherryleaf watched as the two apprentices darted ahead as she had instructed, "Gingerpaw pretty much knows the territory like the back of her paw already, she has another moon or two till I can tell Eaglestar she's ready for her final assessment." SHe said, pride glowing in her voice. "She'll make sure Specklepaw knows it too if we train them together. Once you teach him some of the battle moves he needs to know, we can start them on combat training with one another." She suggested.

He twitched his tail as he listened to her words intently. The Tom nodded, he moved his paw slowly as he fumbled through his head for the right words. " Specklepaw is probably going to miss Pebblekit, she won't be a apprentice for a few moons. It's always hard to loose your best friend, he'll be too busy with training to really talk to her much. At least he could be the one to show her around. I really appreciate your and Gingerpaw's welcoming." The Tom remembered losing his best friend, but she died in the fire. He never seen her ever again. Maybe it was strange that she was a she cat.his best friend was a female, but so was Specklepaw's. Oh, and Loudstep and Skylark. Wait, he was comparing himself to cats younger than him, but only because he was once in their paws'.

Cherryleaf smiled softly, "It's the least I can do." She said softly, "Gingerpaw is my first apprentice, I know what it's like, you feel lost and unknowing what to do. What your own mentor taught you tends to escape you."

Lunarwing

Lunarwing narrowed her honey-like eyes down on the cat as she studied his movements with detail. He looked to be her age, with chartreuse colored eyes that were steady and calm, gazing with a mild gaze as he watched her. He looked to be a big sized cat, with grey fur like a ready storm, and it surprised her lightly that he had not yet attacked by her surprising showing of herself. Her tail brushed the ground lightly as she perked her ears at the sudden appearance of his deep toned voice, yet held a hint of defense inside as well. Her eyes flicked once at the tree she was once in, then she gazed at him with her eyes calm and not holding anger inside that she usually would have been to another cat. "Watching the life. I am interested in camp life, but I can't tell all my secrets to a stranger so I will hold of my reason for why," she said softly, and in a nice voice that was unlike her. Usually, she would have attacked the tom for interfering with her hiding, but she seemed to not feel so much threated by the cat so she didn't harm him. Although, she was still unsure of what he might do now that he had found a loner so close to camp though.
