Finding the Sun (Canine RP)

Demon jumped away dodging Neko. glaring he felt the flames ease near him. It felt normal although it was still really hot. Demon's body streaked like black flames at Niko as he launched another attack. The huge male obviously actious about something as he kept glancing back at Chee when he missed Niko and landed behind her, whirling around he jumped at the females back, trying to land on it and grasp at her sruff. If he got her scruff he would be able to pull her into submission.

Chee began to cry out in pain and fear as the flames lept at her, not touching her but the heat burning her. She closed her eyes and fell silent. To most it would look at as if she was dead, but if you looked carefully you could tell she was concentrating HARD! Please come back! I need you!" she thought hard trying to call back the voice that helped her find her power. There was no respose. Then she decided to do something she would never think of doing if times weren't desprete. Death, I'm not sure if you can hear me right now... But please call the demons off and let ayet go! If you do i will come to you with Demon, she thought pretty sure Death would be able to hear her since she was part demon.

Torka tilted his head to the side and perked his ears. He was concentrating on the way Demon was fighting with Niko. 'You're not supposed to harm a female, Demon' He thought acidly and through his rigid body he found the courage to burst forward in a surge of firey bravery and launch sprint up the hill. When he got to the top, he avoided the heat that send ice cold shivers down his spine and launched himself at Demons tail, trying to distract him. "You don't hit a women!" He growled through clenched teeth, ears back, eyes narrowed. He knew he could never do any real damage but he was content with distracting the male long enough for Niko to attack.

Valdis looked back over at Demon whilst sprinting toward Ayet. A small shadow dashed into her line of vision as the demoness's eyes narrowed. She caught a glimmer of the yearling, Torka, "attacking" Demon. Valdis chuckled darkly in her mind as she thought, this pup just can't get enough, can he? She could feel the fear of Torka from the flames. Fresh fear. Valdis drank it all in, the fear of fire from the apprentice. Her once aching, throbbing right thigh now had a new spring in it's step as well as the rest of her body. Valdis decided to help Demon. Just a little. She sent the flames aroung Torka and Niko blazing. The demon fire thrashed around like a fish on land. The dry grass started to burn and the fire was spreading. Little by little.

[[Demon was attacking Niko, so for [milkbone]'s post, I'm going to assume he was talking about Niko.]]

Niko twisted her head around as much as she could and snapped at Demon as he landed on her, preventing him as best she could from getting her scruff. Instead, she pounced sideways, taking Demon with her and rolling into the fire. It hurt her to touch the flames, but not nearly as much as it would hurt the other wolf. She sprang from the flames and landed near Torka. Her coat was on fire slightly, her whole body in a light flame. "Torka, get Chee out of here, even if you have to drag her." She growled at the young wolf, too quiet for anyone other than him to hear. Then she pounced at Demon with full killing intent, snarling, growling, and aiming for his throat. She was tired of having him disturb her pack, and she would get rid of him.

Despite his fear of fire, Torka managed to be brave enough to lean forward and smother a small patch of fire with his tongue. Suprisingly, it didn't hurt as his saliva touched the fire before his tongue did. He nodded to the adult wolf and leapt to Chee's aid. Unfortunately, that mean't leaping over a ring of fire. 'Torka, you're gonna be a fighter some day!' He thought to himself. 'This will probably be the easiest thing you'll ever do, so do it!' Then he sprang forward over the fire and rolled into Chee. He snuffled at her fur and looked around, half way into a panic. "Chee, ma'am, lets go! Chee? Chee lets go already!" He shouted, then got impatient and used his yearling bulk to pull as he wrapped his jaws around Chee's hindleg. Then, he stopped and looked at the fire. "if its a ring of burn... that goes all the way round... then..." 'Then I can't drag her through it.' Then his all his plans went blank and he had to start over. "Chee?" He asked. "Can you jump?"

[ Demon and Neko are fighting, Torka is trying to rescue Chee, Ayet is still fighting the demon - Valdis - and I think Chee is trying to call Death upon herself. ]

[[ Gahh, sorry everyone... I have been a tad busy lately. Posting now X.X ]]

Ayet grinned, thinking that Valdis had missed him with her pounce, but instead he felt tiny claws pierce his scin, and the mass of the small feline demon clung to him, hanging on by her claws. Yipping, he turned around and snapped his jaws repeatedly in her face, while he bucked and kicked, trying to throw her off. In a swift movement he rolled onto his back, feeling the white flames burn his haunches, where the female's claws had latched on.

Death hesitated as Chee's words came to him. "Jamba. What do you think, my friend? Is this half-demon worth coming back early?" There was a bit of teasing in his voice, but he was serious about asking the demon's opinion. Jamba had been working with Death for a long time; and he was wise.

"Sir, I think it would be worth while. I would have Valdis leave after roughing up Ayet a bit more. Just to cause a bit of chaos, and slow them down. We need to buy time. 'It' isn't quite ready yet." The hyena said, hoping to have Chee come back to them. He might be able to break her; make her see the path she was always destined to walk. Helping mortals is against demon nature, it always has been. There is no inbetween.

"Very well, Jamba." Death said with a small smile, knowing Jamba's motivation for having Chee come back. "Alright, half-demon. You have a deal. Soon we will meet, and your resistence will come to an end. I promise you that." He growled to the mist-form that was the spotted mutt, and then turning to speak in Valdis' ear. "Valdis, hurry and injury this weakling, and let us be on our way! The half-demon has agreed to come back with you, if we leave quickly."
