Once safely tucked away in the mass of trees Siren turned back to see if Aeyrn was following, but he wasn't. Near, yes, but she could hear voices. A puff of hot air blew out of her nostrils, the cold swathes of shyness rising in her stomach. The filly's ears laid back a little as she stepped forward and poked her head trough some of the foliage to see an adult equid talking with her friend. A nervous whinny escaped her and she pulled her head back, deciding to wait until the mare either left or Aeryn came.

I whimper. Looking around. My nose pulls down to the ground onve again. My tail is pulled also to the ground.
" whers my sister. Sister soster. Sister " I wgisper.
" why did dad leave?" I ask the geound as I trot along. I giggle. I wgip my head up and laugh. Diwn again it goes. I move across a river where water splashes my face.
" how dare you!?!" I shriek as a pull my head up. My tail whips vicious around. I look again to see a reflection.
" state your name sir! And how dare you splash me. Wait do I know you." I said. I pull my head up." Waiiiiitttt." I smile.
" you know where my dad is." I see him copy me.
" stop mocking me!!!" I scream.
" I just want my family." I say begining to cry. He mocks me again. I whirl around and cry.

I turn to kirian.
" oh gosh im so glad we got out!" I say. I nuzzle him.

Kirian stepped back, slightly taken aback by Esperanza's sudden show of affection. He smiled, and turned to Risa. "So... is there anything we want to do now, or do we all just want to flop down onto the grass in relief?"

He snickers softly. "Don't worry Siren. This is Akuna. I heard her down my the stream and went to check it out." He says softly to her. He looks over at Akuna. "Anyways, Akuna this is my friend Siren, we are traveling together. Are you in a herd or a loner like us?"

"Hello Akuna," The filly spoke. There was an edge to her tone, a wary inkling she was getting. The way Akuna talked about herself was degrading enough, so what reason stood that Siren would have anything to like her for? No, she didn't dislike the mare either. A little bit of jealousy may have come into play that made her so edgy however, though she didn't realize it was the competitive streak running in her that made her jealous if another mare. Aeryn was her friend, or she only told herself a friend, so another mare would take some getting used to.
