FlightClan ~ A New Quest ~ *Accepting, Warriors Needed!*

Whatever was plaguing Jaystar, it seemed to be bothering Silversnow too. She exited the warriors den and went to take a drink, the moon's light illuminating the white of her coat. Looking up, she could just barely make out the silhouette of a cat sitting in the oak tree, just within the oak's broad leaves. She slowly walked to the tree's base and sat. "Trouble sleeping as well?" She murmured quietly to him, looking up through the branches though she could no longer see him.

Echostorm dipped her head slightly. "Great." She replied, her voice still rather quiet, and started to pad out of camp. She attempted to keep her chin high and lashed her tail slightly, knowing the humiliation she was about to face would be horrible.

Oliveblaze shrugged and followed Echostorm out of camp. His pink nose quivered at the scent of fresh prey, as it always did. His pale ginger stripes looked like ripples in the water, allowing him to blend in nicely with the browning bracken.

Echostorm sniffed and picked up the pace a bit, pin pointing a mouse a few fox lengths into the forest. Great! Now I'll be hidden, so it'll be harder to see me! She thought happily, then pointed in the direction of the small creature with her tail. Without waiting for a response she started off, slipping into the hunting crouch.

Jaystar started at the sound of Silversnow's voice and bolted to the end of the branch. The branch creaked. Realizing it was only Silversnow, he hopped back to the trunk. "Every night," he replied quietly. "I've been plagued with disturbing dreams. All is peaceful in the Clan but something... something is coming."

Oliveblaze stalked a vole through a clump of bracken, wincing as he tried to step through the fronds without rustling. He had to leap almost straight up in the air to catch the creature.

Echostorm crept forward quietly, a smirk growing on her face. Just as she was about to pounce, she stepped on a twig and the squirrel she had been stalking looked at her, then bounded away. With a sigh of frustration she took off after it, crashing through the undergrowth. She was a horrible hunter, but she did have at least a bit too big of an ego to miss the catch. She was so intent on the chase that when the scent of the stream came over her, she didn't notice. The squirrel quickly ran up a tree while Echostorm succeeded in falling headfirst into the water with a huge splash, as well as a louder shout of "Mouse dung!"

Oliveblaze was burying his vole when he heard a faint splash along with some yowling coming from a stream nearby. He wondered if it was a rogue or trespassing cat. Or maybe one of the cats Leafdapple and Adderwhisker spotted?! He crept towards the stream, sniffing the air - but the only scent was... Echostorm. She was there, in the water, drenched. "Oh! It's you! I was worried there was a rogue on our territory. Are you alright?" He hoisted the small she-cat out of the stream by her scruff.

Echostorm allowed herself-grudgingly-to be lifted out of the stream. With narrowed eyes, she shook herself off as soon as she was out. Her fur puffed up and she scrambled to smooth it out before answering Oliveblaze. "Yes, I'm fine I think." She muttered, trying to reach a spot she had missed on her side. "I really hate squirells. Hunting in general, really." She huffed, her black pelt heating up with embarassement.

Oliveblaze shook his fur of the little droplets of water he had picked up from Echostorm. "Oh. Okay." He twitched his whiskers and waited for Echostorm to finish cleaning herself. He wasn't really one to talk much, so he sat in silence.
