Tidestar gasped at the water, for it had been coming from her left. She called to Foxtalon, panicked, "Quickly! Get to higher places!" The leader quickly scaled a large oak and took shelter in a hole she discovered in it.

Purpleflower sighs. "Its time I tell you something that I should have told you a long time ago."

Purpleflower takes a deep breath and looks at Clifftail in the eyes, her purple eyes sparkling. "I love you." she said.

Foxtalon followed her, since he didn't see a better option. He joined her in the hole, noticing the close quarters.

Clifftail's eyes widened. "L-L-Love me?!" he sputtered, shocked. "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to think about that..."

Tidestar made room for the tom, although they were shoulder to shoulder. She cleared her throat awkwardly. "Foxtalon... I'm so worried, what if the rest of the cats don't make it back alive? It will be all my fault... I'll be the selfish leader who let her clanmates die!" She wailed, tears springing into her blue eyes.

"I think they went this way," Ripplestripe thought out loud as he followed the scents of Tidestar and Foxtalon. His wet pelt combined with the cold wind made him rather uncomfortable, but he did his best to ignore this discomfort and instead focus on finding his Clanmates. He looked over his shoulder to make sure Mapleshadow was close behind.

Mapleshadow followed closely behind Ripplestripe, trusting in his sense of smell. She had began to shiver slightly, the rain had made her usually fluffy pelt to cling to her body, and the wind wasn't helping.

Salmonfall followed beside Cornfur, occasionally brushing up against him to move out of the way of a fallen log or roots of a tree. "We'll look for her later, okay?" Salmonfall promised, licking his cheek comfortingly. He cares so much about her... he couldn't possibly like her? No, no, its probably just because they were apprentice and mentor... right?

Cornfur looked at Salmonfall gratefully. As his citrine eyes settled on Salmonfalls', he realized all at once that her comfort made him feel more at ease than anything another clan mate could have done. "Thank you. A lot." He replied.
