Nightwhisper flicked his tail in protest. "But-- Oh, Pantherleaf." He turned away from his apprentice to find the medicine cat and Sparkpelt's family.

Sparkpelt's eyes widened at the sight of Nightwhisper, padding into the den and placing the kits he was carrying into a vacant nest. "Is here fine?"

Bluesoul collapsed in the nest, oblivious to everything but her kits. She curled around her remaining kits.

Lightningpaw quickly explained what had happened, watching as Pantherleaf bristled in surprise at the news of Lightpaw.

Pantherleaf shook the shock away and quickly went to her herb store. She returned with borage.

(Recap: Grimm attacked Nightwhisper and Lightningpaw, nearly killing Nightwhisper. Meanwhile, Bluesoul and sparkpelt were on a walk by the lake, when Bluesoul started having her kits a moon early. She had four, one has already died. And the others are extremly weak.)

Nighthwhisper huffed and went back to the pool, leaning down painfully to get a drink for himself.

Sparkpelt listened to Lightningpaw while he made himself comfortable next to his mate, keeping her warm.

Fallpaw padded to Pantherleaf's side, "Anything i can do?" The medicine cat apprentice asked.

She padded to the nursery to sleep for awhile. She tried to sleep but her mind was occupied on her fate, and if she would be a warrior.

Pantherleaf explained what happened with the kits as she worked. She pressed her ear to one of the kits, a ginger tom, much like his father except for a few black jagged stripes. She set him next to Fallpaw. "Quick. Lick him the other way to get him breathing." She then turned to the next kit.

Lightningpaw sighed as her mentor went to the pool anyway.

Bluesoul mewed quietly to her mate. "What shall we name them?"
