Akira snickered a bit. "He really is hyper." She whispered to Night. Then she lifted her head and spoke directly to Spot. "No, you will stay with either Night or myself if it comes down to it and we have to swim. The current is too strong."

Vitani looked around. "The water is rising."

She hauled herself out of the water and crawled forward, shivering violently. She dropped Spot roughly onto the ground in front of her. "What were you thinking?!" She snareled at him.
