Bear turned around and looked at Kite. He smiled before stiffly walking off into the woods in search of food. Not deer, of course, but food. (i gtg decorate 4 Christmas)

Kite heard him go then sighed as she held back tears again. She shook her head and closed her eyes to sleep.

(Okay im going to go play my xbox anyways so later)

Bear crouched and leaped, throwing his good paw down on a rabbit. He winced when he landed and many of his wounds opened up again. But he didn't care. He gulped down the prey gratefully and went for another. He jumped on a squirrel, feeling other wounds crack. He was getting used to hunting using only one paw.

Kite lifted her head when she heard something come into the meadow and smirked as she saw a group of does. She crouch down then slowly made her way towards them. When she got close enough she lunged at a doe even though her body ached slightly. She bit down around the neck cutting off the deer air and it stopped moving as it focused on trying to breathe. Soon it collapse and laid on the ground but kite didn't let go until she knew for sure it was died. She dropped the neck and sat down with a whine. Kite looked around then slowly started to eat the deer.

Bear wagged his tail and ate the squirrel gratefully. He looked around, suddenly protective of his meal. Then he saw it: A plump pheasant, the biggest he'd ever seen. He limped over to it, trying to step quietly, and crouched down, wiggling his haunches. He leaped and killed the bird as it squawked.

Kite finished about half of the doe before she sat up and started to clean her maw. She glanced around for any sign of other predators that might be looking for an easy meal but mostly hoping that Bear would come back but she knew that was a slight possibly.

[Angry.Jackal]

Beardevoured the bird in a few swift bites. His stomach felt heavy with prey and he smiled, satisfied. He licked the blood off his mouth and wiped his muzzle with a paw. Suddenly, now that he had food, he didn't know where to go. He started to limp back to the clearing, but decided against it and headed to the river instead.

Kite looked up at the sky when she head buzzards flying around. She sighed then slowly got up and walked towards her den. When she got there and laid down in the snow outside the den. She looked down at her wounds and saw that they were healing and she soon will go back to the pack. She smiled and licked her paw softly.

(Nothing just Kite and Bear talking.)
