Layla.
A number of things happened at once. She noticed a cat following them. It was Fog, yet Layla herself didn't know their name. She locked eyes with the other cat, about to speak, when a sound caught her attention. She whipped her head around, recognizing it as a sigh. Her eyes lighted on a fox-like cat appearing from nowhere, speaking randomly. Layla narrowed her eyes, trying to recall the cat. Wait! Aha, that was it. It was Foxglove. She barely contained herself from rolling her eyes. She saw through the other she-cats act in a second. She remembered her now, Layla had watched her, and then spoken to her. They had announced themselves as allies. Just not the kind to hang around each other. Just to not attack each other unless they went behind each other's backs. Like kill someone they loved. Not that Layla loved anyone. But she had a strange feeling about Foxlogve and that other cat she had come across...what was his name. Mor something. Ah, whatever. She gave up trying to figure out his name. She didn't really care about him.
And now although Foxglove was rambling on, and Layla kenw it was an act, she didn't say anything. Just let her face look suprised and then attentative, as if listening to her every word. Two could play this game. "You know, you do look familiar." She said, nodding, a look of concentration on her face as if she was trying to figure out who she was. "I don't think we knew each other in another life. I highly doubt I've ever had another life..." She said sweetly, smiling. "Perhaps we just have stumbled across each other in the city a few times." Layla shrugged, sitting up straight and watching her with those big blue doe eyes of hers. She cast a glance back at the other new cat, Fog, who hadn't said anything. But then her gaze returned to Foxglove. She smiled lightly as Julian tried to have some pride and dignity, but stayed quiet.
(I'll post with Zeus later....)
