Echopaw shrugged at her mentor. "She gave me a dirty look. That stupid brother of mine pulled me away before I could permanently damage her hideous face."

Wolfpaw was wandering just doing nothing when he saw Rainpaw. He ducked under the half-fallen tree and padded out to her. "Hey Rainpaw. You look kinda troubled. What's up?"

Rainpaw looked up at Wolfpaw. "Well, I wanted to go swimming with Seapaw, but he's in a bit of a bad mood." She sighed, not wanting to tell the whole story.

Wolfpaw knew she didn't tell the whole story, but didn't say anything because she obviously didn't want to talk about it. "If you want, I'll go swimming with you." He shifted his tiny white paws.

Rainpaw look up at Wolfpaw. "Really? Thanks." She said, rubbing against his shoulder. "Race ya there!" She exclaimed, dashing away in the direction of the beach.

Wolfpaw grinned and shot forward. His small size made him light on his feet, and he quickly caught up. "Have fun trying to beat me!" Wolfpaw laughed and pulled a foot or two ahead of her.

Rainpaw gave a final leap of faith and landed on the beach 3 seconds before Wolfpaw. "Ha!" She panted.
