Bear opened his eyes to tiny slits and glanced at Kite. He thumped his tail on the ground once to get her attention. He lifted his head, even though it sent huge pain explosions in his brain. "I'm fine Kite." He said shakily before putting his head back on the ground and closing his eyes.

(Well you said "Twisted off to the the side." and i just thought it might have been broken off)

Kite smiled slightly at him then gently licked his cheek "You dont looked fine." she said softly. She looked at his side and carefully licked each wound barely stopping the bleeding. She looked back at him "Do you want me to get River?" she asked him softly.

Bear shook his head and tried to stand up. He collapsed onto his side and looked up at Kite. "I just.............." he trailed off when a dizzy spell took over his brain.

Kite watched him and licked his cheek again "Its okay." she told him softly.

Bear smiled at her touch, but it felt distant, like he was watching her from a different body and the wolf lying on the ground wasn't him, it was just a lonely, dying wolf he happened to know.

Kite smiled and watched him closely. She laid down next to him to keep him warm and to make sure he didnt get worse. She carefully laid her head on the ground next to his and closed her eyes.

Bear lifted his head feebly and licked her muzzle. "Thank you, Kite." He laid his head down and fell asleep. He never thought of how tired and weak he was until just then. He had only eaten that mouse and the bugs. He should've eaten the rabbit Tundra gave him, or at least went hunting with Kite. He whimpered lightly in his sleep.

Kite smiled and nuzzled his neck softly then she also fell asleep with him but it was a light sleep.

~timeskip~ Bear snorted and woke up. He felt much better. He tried to stand up, but his front left paw shot pain through him when he put pressure on it. He lifted it up and let in dangle uselessly under his chest. He looked at his side. There were seven dark holes crusted with blood on his side and shoulders. He tried to walk, feeling very stiff.

Kite woke up when she heard him move. She open her eyes and watched him walk away. She held back a sigh and curled up into a ball not wanting to watch him leave.
