"Thanks," Briarstep purred, looking around for more prey. There was a mouse nearby, but he didn't go after it. In the absolute silence, he could hear its tiny heartbeat and knew it was on too high alert for him to try and go after it. The tabby sighed and looked around for more prey.
((I'm not trying to make him seem perfect by having him catch every piece he goes after, but I have a plan so just trust me xD))

Adderwhisker considered going ahead and barging into their camp, but ende up deciding against it. "Yes, it might be a good idea to alert Jaystar to what we're doing. We can always be a part of the patrol," He agreed, though his paws burned with curiosity.

Oliveblaze sighed and caught a couple of fat, slippery fish instead.

Leafdapple slowly pulled away from the invisible strings dragging her towards the strange cats. She stole a small glance at Adderwhisker. What was he thinking? Did he want to visit those cats too? She walked in silence on the way back to camp.

Briarstep, using his unique hunting technique, managed to snag a few more voles before he checked up on Oliveblaze. "How's it going?"

"Jaystar!" Adderwhisker yowled as he burst into camp. "Jaystar, we found these strange cats!"

Leafdapple slid to a halt beside Adderwhisker. "Don't worry," she mewed to a few cats who had panicked. "They're far, far away and can't hurt us."

Jaystar slid out of his den, his pelt slightly ruffled from troubled sleep and his eyes round. "Oh? Where do they live?" He inquired.

"Up in the mountains," Adderwhisker replied, sending an apologetic glance to the cats he had scared. Would Jaystar let them go?

Jaystar flickered his eyes to the mountains (or hills, or whatever they are xD). "Another Clan?" He question was left hanging in the air. "I'll call a meeting." He leaped up onto the large oak tree. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey join me beneath the big oak!" Jaystar yowled.

Oliveblaze licked his paws clean. "Pretty good, I caught some fish. Let's head back to camp, I can hear Jaystar's call.

Adderwhisker nodded and walked over to where Jaystar was. He sat down and looked up at his leader, hoping he'd be allowed to go on patrol.

"Great! And yeah, let's go," Briarstep agreed, picking up his prey and trotting back to camp.

Jaystar waited for the cats to gather. "New cats have been found on the hills. We haven't had a close look at them. They don't seem to be harmful, but we will send out a patrol to greet them and let them know we live here. Adderwhisker and Leafdapple, you will go on the patrol since you found the cats. Briarstep, I suppose you may go as well. So will Silversnow."

Silversnow's head had raised up as the two cats had come speeding back into camp, as if they had been chased by a horde of angry dogs. Her bigg, delicate ears perked forward as she stood slowly, padding forward in response to Jaystar's call. Another clan in the area? Her tail waved worriedly; she had a feeling life wasn't going to be easy from now on.

Jaystar kneaded his paws into the bark. "So Adderwhisker, Leafdapple, Briarstep, and Silversnow, you will leave tomorrow. Feathermist, please prepare some herbs for them."
