His head raised, as he had been roused by the arrival of Mottledstone, "Hm... wha-?"

"Oh, you were asleep." She mewled gently, purring in amusement. "Sorry, I don't
have as good eyes as I used to. Or hearing." The she-cat explained, her tail-tip
twitching in slight irritation. She slumped down to a laying position, her front
legs curling under her puffy, soft-furred chest. "Did you hear anything?" The
Turkish she-cat asked, releasing a quiet sigh at the end of her question.

He sat up, scratching his ear with his hind leg, "Sumthin' about kits and StarClan, I think..."

"First off, Sandcloud is close to kitting." She said, flicking her tail-tip. "I also
mentioned Smokystar. You'er going to need to talk to him about you duty as
a full medicine cat." She said, leaving out the statement that Softwillow was
now gone. "And you're going to have to tend for your brothers now." The
she-cat mewled.

He stared blankly at her, "Full medicine cat? But Softwillow is the m-" He stopped himself, memories rushing back, and his chest started to heave again, "Shes... dead."

Mottledstone let out a heavy sigh. "Yes." She said, her tail swiping angrily over
the ground. "Anyways. Just, do as I said." She grumbled, lifting her body and
whisking her tail over his face. "I'm bringing your kin in the den." She said
with a huff, squeezing through the crack that left an entrance for Soulpaw's
den.

He stiffened, "You mean, the kits?"

She picked the two bundles of fur up by their scruffs, and sneezed gently before
thrusting herself through the rocks to block the entrance to Soulpaw's den. The
mottled she-cat placed them gently at his paws, the shook out her long fur. "Great
StarClan its hot in here." She grumbled, walking over to the side of the den and
pushing hard on a rock. As she did, it tumbled over, bringing down half the den
ceiling with it. She coughed slightly at dirt and sand flying up, also jumping at the
loud thud of stone hitting the ground harshly. "The den needed to be bigger anyways."
She grunted, flicking her tail.

Soulpaw looked at the collapsed den, "What in StarClan's name did you do!?"

"I aired the place out for you, and gave you more room. You're welcome." She mewled,
snorting. "I'll just tell Cicadawing about this and he'll have some warriors on it." She
flinched slightly as water touched her paw, and realized that a small pond was being
made half in the den and half out of it, a tiny waterfall forming from the roof. "Oh,
that's nice." She purred.

The tiny white kit looked up at his brother in awe, multiplied toes flexing sharp claws
in and out. His now open and round amber eyes glared up in the tom as he twitched
his whiskers.
