But VioletDaze was nowhere to be seen, she had vanished while ReedLeap was distracted. He hissed to himself. "Fox-dung! I let her get away!" He sniffed for a trail, the she-cat was smart. She had rolled in toad-stools before she escaped.

Whistleblade twitched her nose, then twitched it again and let out a small sneeze. She batted away a small feather which had caused the discomfort and looked around. The small she-cat gave a tiny sigh and leaned toward Reedleap slightly, almost like a kit with its mother. Her green eyes darted to the side, a small fish having caught her eye. The rushing water brought up the recent experience of falling, though, and she averted her gaze.

Yellowpaw remembered the gathering and went to find Cougarstrike. She finally found him out of camp. "Hey, Cougarstrike?" She looked at her paws. "Medicine cats always go to a gathering, right?"

ReedLeap sighed. "We mut report this to BoneStar," He mewed. As soon as the words were out of his mouth a vole shot out of no where. ReedLeap pounced, and snapped it's neck cleanly. "Shall we go fetch the squirrel?"

Mintfur smiled and purred proudly. Hawkpaw reminded Mintfur of his most best apprentices. The top four he ever had were Cloverheart, Wavemist, Snowflake, and Sparrowflight. Then there were the ones who had died before they were warriors. Echopaw, Mosspaw, Fawnpaw, and Rosepaw. Mintfur remembered their deaths as if it was yesterday. Cloverheart, Wavemist, Echopaw, and Mosspaw had been some of his best toms. While Snowflake, Sparrowflight, Fawnpaw, and Rosepaw had been some of his best she-cats. But then that fateful day. Which had taken Sparrowflight, Echopaw, and Rosepaw. Mintfur tried not to think of it often. When the cats came to hear stories he told of how great they were. Only to some he told the story of their death. Hawkpaw had answered it along the same line as they had. "You answered it from your heart. I am sure their is more, just not all of it is known at the time. Do you know the story of Cloverheart?" Mintfur asked. Hawkpaw could handle the story. Mintfur had't told a story in a while. None of the new kits had come for them yet. He wouldn't tell them these stories. These for for apprentices, every apprentice had to hear the story of the four warriors and four apprentices. When they eight of them had died Mintfur had asked Bonestar if the night before they became warriors if they could hear it. Mintfur wouldn't tell Hawkpaw the whole thing.

Snowheart crouched close to the ground, tail just above her paws, still and unmoving. She had caught the scent of a vole. The she-cat slowly inched forward, noticing a small rustle in the leaves. The vole scurried forward and Snowheart pounced, missing just barely. "Fox-Dung!" the snow colored cat spat and lept again, this time she pounced on it, killing it with a quick nip to the neck. "Thank StarClan for this vole's life." Snowheart murmured, as she burried it in a hole with a sparrow she had caught.

Whistleblade nodded her tan head and curled her tail around Reedleap's. Her sparkling green eyes conveyed just the faintest hint of how she felt about him. She wavered for a moment with one small paw in the air, then mischief filled her and she darted off into the forest, calling "Race ya there!" over her shoulder.
