limping faster. She just started humming under her breath.

Don't let this make you feel bad Thornflower. If you've been through what I've been through, you'd understand. Kane wanted to tell her, but held his tongue. His parents had put a taste in his mouth, and he didn't want to see another kit treated the way he and his sister had been.

(Luna! Hai! You feelin better I'm guessin?)

Wooly moved to his side and pressed against him. "No. I don't want to move." she purred, "I've not been here long, but I love it already." she looked up at him, her blueish eyes sparkling. "To live here with you..." she murmured, unable to finish her sentence. She showed confidence as she curled her tail around his, purring softly.

Grinner

Grinner laughed as the leader snarled out his name in fury, and his eyes glowed as he noticed her anger in Duskpaw returning to his side. It was like he always wanted his son. A mindless little pet, and so able to be controlled without all the faults of love, joy, and happiness. Yet, he shook softly beside him as his eyes blinked once with his own will, and took a step backward that was not asked of Grinner. Grinner removed his stare from the leader to lean his mouth down to his ear, and step off some words of his past to hurt Duskpaw. "Crush them, like they did to you," he spoke as he leaned away to grin at Eaglestar with his voice dripping with venom. "Well, Eaglestar all I did was get into his dreams and crush his mind so he could be so controlled easily. Haha, now Duskpaw attack your leader," he ordered and the cat beside him grew stiff. His son didn't move for a few seconds, and let out a shake of his body with his eyes meeting his leader's before going glassy as his ran at her. He leapt into the air to sink his two front paws into her upper spine as his teeth started to aim for her muzzle.

A tall, thin she-cat
with light grey-brown fur
and forest-green eyes.

Eaglestar ducked, throwing herself sideways to avoid the apprentice's attack. She rolled quickly to her paws, whirling to face him. "Duskpaw, please! Stop this!" she called to him desperately, hoping to break through whatever Grinner had done to him. She didn't want to hurt the apprentice. Her eyes darted to Grinner in a glare, hatred for the rogue burning through her. She didn't realize the opening her distraction left for Duskpaw.

Frostwing rolled her eye's at the apprentices nature, but turned towards Lightpaw and Loudstep. "Don't mind her. We need to get moving. I think I remember where the river is." She meowed, digging into her memory. It was past the lake, that was for sure. Suddenly the directions hit her, and she flicked her tail. Now is the time to move. StarClan, I dearly hope you'll light our path well.. She prayed silently, leading the way towards the river.

"Right. I know where we need to start. It's where I started. Pawprints. In the rocks. It leads to the river eventually. But I feel we need to start there." Loudstep meowed, looking over at Frostwing to see if that was alright if they started there. He flicked his tail, feeling the strong feeling of needing to stay with the stone prints once more. He didn't want to just go to the river. He wanted to follow the prints that were by the river. They needed to to, he could feel it to be so.

Lightpaw nodded, starting to follow Frostwing. After a moment she paused, looking back in the direction of the camp. It would be some time before she saw it again. But the clearing was already hidden by the trees and undergrowth. She took a deep breath, staring into the darkening forest, before quickly turning away. She trotted after the others, hurrying to catch up.

Deer jumped slightly and flattened his ears, he hissed at Mintstep, his fur rising along his spine, he was already edgy from the smell of cats in the area

Frostwing nodded at Loudstep's words. "Good idea, I believe I remember where the rocks where." She meowed softly, taking the lead as she quietly headed towards the rocks. She believed that StarClan would help them through this. The trip would be scary, but with StarClan watching over them it was bound to turn out somewhat alright. Besides, she had Loudstep and Lightpaw with her. She didn't know much about them, but she hoped they'd be good company and help.
