Slipclaw surfaced for air. "I wonder if I can touch the bottom." He wondered.

[Pharaoh]

Seapaw snapped back into reality, looking at Slipclaw with a laugh. "Just try to think like a rock, not a bubble!" She teased him playfully.

Slipclaw laughed. He took a huge breath and dived under again. He kicked, the bottom was in view. He could almost reach it....he streached out a paw and touched the muddy lake floor. Then he was frantically kicking, trying to reached the surface before his air ran out. Almost there, and then he was abve water, gasping in air. "I-I did it!" He said after a few moments.

[Pharaoh]

Seapaw laughed. "Impressive. But I don't think you could ever touch the bottom of the middle of the lake!" Seapaw knew nobody could even see the bottom, let alone touch it. She'd never even seen twolegs attempt it, and they were always swimming in the lake. It was at least the length of several trees down, she figured, and that would mean suicide for any feline! Still, it was a challenge.

"I bet I could!" Slipclaw boasted. "No, I couldn't."

[Pharaoh]

Seapaw laughed. "I only think fish could." She replied plainly, diving down into the water and swimming up beside him. "Blub blub! I'm a fish! I can touch the bo-ttom!" she teased, splashing him as she dove deep into the water, no intention of touching the bottom, and swam back up. "See?"

"Wow!" Slipclaw laughed. "That was so good, I almost tried to catch you!"

[Pharaoh]

Seapaw laughed, shrugging and blowing a few bubbles in the water. "What can I say? Natural!"

Slipclaw stuck his head in the water and tried to blow bubbles. Instead he made himself look like an idiot, and got swallowed a little water. He came up, coughing and laughing.

[Pharaoh]

Seapaw continued to laugh, kicking water at Slipclaw with her hind legs as she floated on her back, which also propelled herself into deeper water. "Streaming sunshine in a flickering pool of madness, Slippy?" The random statement was not only baffling, but held a deeper meaning than most.
