Stonefoot smiled and looked out at the water, no disturbed from the two playing cats, as it sent the stars and moon shattering into a thousand diamonds in the waves. So beautiful.

The surging water was easily welcomed. The cold freed the mind, made everything sharp and clear with adrenaline that it was an impossible feeling. Honeyleaf hadn't thought about dying ever before, but this did seem a fine way to go. The cold water, numbing her to pain but sharpening her muscles to epic strength. She was so content to stay here, and wondered if she would be caught in the swirling waters forever. Then a strong jaw grasped her and pulled her ashore, and the feelings washed away. It left her mind blank and her heart empty. She looked up at Sparrowpelt and spat, hissing in frustration.
"What did you go and do that for? It was so perfect and then you... you..." She began to breath normally now, her sense restored. "Oh, never mind it."

Tigerclaw laughed again. "Well, I think you're ready to find and catch your first real one!"

Leappaw frowned. "I've caught mice before. Not as many as I've caught rabbits, I prefer chasing rabbits than stalking mice, but I've caught them."

"What I'm doing is saving you." Sparrowpelt murmured, dragging her onto shore. He collapsed with exhaustion, looking up at Honeyleaf. "Do you want to die?" He exclaimed angerily, shaking his head sadly.

Sagewhisker smiled, purring loudly. "Ya know what?" She murmured, her blueish green eyes catching Stonefoot's gaze.

Tigerclaw grinned. "Yeah. A few field mice here, but rabbits are the main catch. Glad you can get mice too, though. Now go off and catch me three rabbits and one field mouse if you can find one." He said with a grin.

Honeyleaf shrugged. "Seems like it wouldn't be unwelcome. I've got nothing to live for." The way she spoke, the way she held herself, it was all changing. Even the dull, stupid haze over her eyes was gone. She was completely changed, and just by a little water. A veil of childhood law had been removed.

Stonefoot shrugged. "I know lots of things. Let's see... you're having fun?" He suggested with a stupid grin.
