Thornflower walked out into the open to see Mintsplash(and the others).
"What's going on?" she said shyly.

Kane looked over at Thornflower with a brisk nod. "We're going back to camp now Thornflower. We can be there by nightfall." he meowed, "I'm still not happy at you for following me. You're leg will take even longer to heal up now." He nudged Cinder forward, his sister, shooting him a look. The dark tabby stuck his tongue out at her, padding on. The little kit followed quickly, her legs rather long.

She sighed, "I'm...sorry." she wasn't going to say that but see did.
She smiled and started of with them. She really did love Kane.

Kane let on slowly, at a pace Thornflower could keep, with Cinder prancing at his side. They were inseprable now, it was clear enough. Cinder was about seven moons now and she would be able to become an apprentice as soon as she was fit enough, and Kane was't going to let it be any time before. He was tough on his sister, but he was protective of her too. His love went both ways.

Brindlestripe twitched his tail, he stayed silent as he heard Cherryleaf's sweet voice as she called for Gingerpaw. Brindlestripe wondered what it would be like having a apprentice, would this be the first thing Specklepaw should do, or shouldn't it. No, this would teach him the ways of patrols. This would be a wonderful first assessment. Brindlestripe could relate, his first time was on a patrol to. Then what did he have to worry about? On this patrol he would show Specklepaw around the camp.

Smiled and his ears perked up at the words of a patrol, he ran to brindlestripes side "sweet!" He mewed as cherryleaf called for gingerpaw. He was excited to have a mentor now.

Ran to cherryleaf's call "hello brindlestripe, and hello to the new apprentice specklepaw" she purred as she gave a lick to her mentors ear.

Cherryleaf's smile brightened softly at her apprentice's gesture before turning her deep brown, amber eyes, up to Brindlestripe, "Would you like to lead the way or shall I?" She asked in her soft voice as she stood, her tail sweeping gently from side to side.

Frostwing rolled her eye's at the apprentices nature, but turned towards Lightpaw and Loudstep. "Don't mind her. We need to get moving. I think I remember where the river is." She meowed, digging into her memory. It was past the lake, that was for sure. Suddenly the directions hit her, and she flicked her tail. Now is the time to move. StarClan, I dearly hope you'll light our path well.. She prayed silently, leading the way towards the river.
