Rowan glanced at Nifty "You ok?" she asked.

"The eastern indian reservations. We live side-by-side with them." She replied.

Crow stayed silent.

Akira let out a whine as water began to lap around her ankles.

" Is there anything else you need us to do ? " Jaybird and Glacies asked .

Dakota sliped in his question "Yeah, do you want me and some others to go check the water level?" he asked.

Hawk stared at them. "Crow? Raven? How did you two get here?"

"Nevermind that, we need to get to high ground." Nikie replied.

Star waited for Dakota.

Nifty looked back. "I never thought I'd leave so soon."

"Keep the pups off the ground." Sontag told them.

Nikie shook her head to Dakota

Dakota nodded and came back to Star.

Rowan nodded "It's a shame."

"Long time no see, Hawk. Oh, to answer your question, We were chased off by a bear and then got lost in a storm. We have been traveling as loners for three months now." Replied Raven.

Crow nodded. "We know where we are now. We hope to get home before we drown in the flood." He added, his words dripping with annoyance.

"Crow, behave!" Snapped Raven.

Crow rolled his eyes.

Dakota sighed, the pack was bedraggled and hungry - Hungry! he thought "I'll be back, stay here." he whispered to Star before bolting back to their camp, spraying water everywhere. Dakota entered the camp, his heart pounding. He fished around, gathering the floating remains of the kill pile in a small group. He then fetched some stragglers of cobwebs and made a net to hold all of it.

Star looked around.

"Raven, Crow, remember the large Indian mound. Maybe that could be high enough to escape the flood." Hawk suggested.

Dakota returned his food bundle in mouth, he'd been gone awhile to catch fish and a few remaining birds. he had managed to catch 2 finches, 1 one robin and 6 fish. Overall he had 6 rabbits, 2 voles, 4 birds, the 6 fish and 5 sections of deer and elk. He padded over to Nikie, "I returned to camp briefly and got this," he said motioning to the bundle "6 rabbits, 2 voles, 4 birds, the 6 fish and 5 sections of deer and elk" he added.
