((O.o Jaystar and Sparrowthorn were having a private conversation. Your cats have super-hearing...? And I don't know what you mean about the prophecy. We didn't say your cats were bad, you just happen to be the only one to play loners.))
Sparrowthorn nodded. "I suppose that this means that I need to send out more patrols; if cats can get in and out this easily, I need to be doing a better job of organizing patrols. We also need to make sure all of our cats are loyal - we can't have any helping rogues or loners without our consent."

"Do you think Jaystar would mind if we took a look? We've already marked the borders and all..." Adderwhisker began, scraping his paw thoughtfully in the dirt.

Briarstep grinned. "Wanna go hunting?" He offered. The tabby tom cast a longing glance toward Leafdapple. She was so pretty... Mouse dung, Adderwhisker and his ability to talk to she-cats. The young warrior didn't stand a chance against him.

Leafdapple's eyes gleamed with the thought of adventure. "Wait a second," she mewed to Adderwhisker. She turned to Oliveblaze and Briarstep. "You guys can go hunting if you like. We'll check farther along the border."

Oliveblaze nodded in agreement, his paws itching to hunt. "What do you say, Briarstep? Up for some intense vole-hunting?"

Adderwhisker's whiskers twitched in delight. Another clan - and they might be the ones to find it!

"Count me in," Briarstep grinned, unsheathing and sheathing his claws. "Can you keep up?"

Silversnow came walking back into the camp, carrying a few more mice for the fresh kill pile. She dropped them near the base and yawned, stretching her lean, white spotted body before she looked around at everyone else in camp. She made her way for the shade of the nearby vegetation. "Briarstep, Oliveblaze," she greeted them respectfully as she passed. The shecat walked until she nestled herself between two large roots, sitting down to groom herself.

(Ashen and Timber left, Holly left but came back.)

Oliveblaze wrinkled his pink nose. "Can I?!" He nudged Briarstep playfully and bounded off in the direction of the river.

Leafdapple's paws were like balls of energy at the thought of discovering a new Clan. (Anyone have ideas for this 'new Clan' that they could discover?)

((maybe a tribe? Like the Tribe of Dark Stars or something? I think that name sounds cool. Or if this is FlightClan, maybe something like RunningClan?))

Briarstep laughed and ran off, scenting a nearby vole. He stopped at the bushes, scanning for movement.

Adderwhisker looked around. Suddenly he perked up. "There! I see something!"

(Hmm... I like the Tribe of Dark Stars...)

Oliveblaze silently followed Briarstep, sniffing the air. He waited for Briarstep to make his move.

Leafdapple snapped her head towards the forest in the distance. Tall, dark pine trees covered the land like a green blanket. A large hill in the distance was visible. Something seemed to be moving on the hill, like a shimmering, constantly moving mass. "What are those?" The small dots looked about the right size to be cats. But they could also be dangerous twolegs.

Still, Briarstep didn't move. He waited until the vole had stuck his head out the bush and then swept his paw forward, killing it instantly. The vole didn't know it was coming.

"I don't know. Let's stay in the bushes," He decided. Adderwhisker sidestepped into the forest nearby and kept out of sight until he was able to confirm that they were indeed cats. "They're cats!" He hissed. "We've found it!"

Oliveblaze wrapped his tail around his paws. "Good catch! I'm going to try and find some more prey along the river." He picked his way along the pebbles beside the river, watching for silver streaks of fish. He froze as a wood pigeon hopped down the rocks. He crouched down to the ground, hoping his pale ginger fur wouldn't stand out too much against the stones. He crept forward, but before he got close enough, his paw hit a loose pebble and it clacked against the other rocks as it rolled a mouse-length into the river. The bird squawked and took of with a startled look in its eyes. "Fox dung!" spat Oliveblaze.

Leafdapple swallowed nervously. "Should we report back to Jaystar? We can't just enter their territory to say hi. Maybe we should send a patrol out to greet them." She watched the slowly moving dots on the hill form a tight circle. "I wonder what they're doing? Some kind of tribal dance?" Her leaf green eyes gazed, perplexed, at the strange cats. "I wonder if they've lived there a long time."
