Timberpaw smiled. "Thanks." she said, looking at the ground and pawing at a stone. She looked back up at Eaglepaw. "Who's your mentor again?" she said shyly. This was probably the longest conversation she had ever had with him.

Eaglepaw smiled back at her. "Spottedmask. I don't think she's around anymore..." He trailed off. Then, looking back, he quickly added. "I don't mean she died or anything! Just that she's...not....here..." he finished awkwardly.

Timberpaw looked back at Eaglepaw. "I get what you mean." she said happily with a smile, walking past him, brushing against him as she padded to her bed of moss.

Eaglepaw smiled and twitched his tail. "Hey, want to go hunting?" he asked suddenly.

Timberpaw looked back at Eaglepaw and blushed. She licked her chest to hide it. Once she thought it was gone, she looked back up at him with a smile. "Sure." she simply said, and walked back to Eaglepaw.

"Okay, let me go ask Brambletail if its okay that we leave," Eaglepaw said with a smile.He was gone briefly, then returned. "He says to take a warrior with us, so I asked Dawnwish. She's waiting outside." Eaglepaw smiled and stepped aside. "After you," he said, nodding his head. He was glad Timberpaw didn't seem annoyed with him; it was nice to talk to her.

Timberpaw listened as Eaglepaw spoke. she nodded and walked ahead of Eaglepaw. ''Thanks for suggesting this." she said shyly.

Eaglepaw smiled easily at Timberpaw. "All we're doing is hunting," he said timidly.

Dawnwish smiled at the two apprentices. "Where were you thinking of going?" she asked.

[foxes.]

"I'm glad no one got hurt," he murmured. Brambletail pressed his nose to Forestheart's cheek."I really don't trust him. Who goes hunting when they're being held prisoner?" He sighed and shook his head. "I don't know. I just have a bad feeling about this. Like something's going to happen."

"I don't like him either. I hope Darkstar gets rid of him, she can throw him on the thunderpath for all I care." Forestheart said, glancing at the small rogue. "Well, whatever happens, I'm sure Darkstar will lead us through." (that sounded so horribly cliche it's not even funny. D:)

Falconpaw ~ Up a tree, hunting a squirrel X3
Falconpaw, seeing Eaglepaw and Timberpaw going out hunting, figured it would be a good idea to do so as well. He padded out into the forest, its autumn leaves crackling underfoot. He raised his head and, just by chance, spotted a small, but rather plump, squirrel. He grinned and trotted slowly to the tree and gripped the trunk with his forepaws, and carefully scooted up the trunk until he was at the branch the squirrel sat on, currently occupied with opening an acorn.

Brambletail looked up, a thoughtful look on his face. "Yes, Darkstar knows what she's doing..." he said quietly. "I just hope she knows what he's capable of doing..."
